I can't help but be amused by ceeboo's use of the terms "fair-minded" and "balanced."
My guess is that you're probably amused because the concept is so foreign to you.

Be careful, any minute now he is going to put you on ignore, and then post repeatedly that he has you on ignore, and then post about your comments that he is ignoring. Try not to apply logic and facts to his posts if you do not want him to ignore you, ceeboo.

That was an awful guess, on a few levels.

I will point out a few below (in blue) for your consideration.

You can be the biggest douche bag in the world, liar, cheat, thief, rapist, tax fraud, etc. but you'll be loved by the GOP if you have an R by your name. That's the extent of the party's standards.

They only pretend to be disgusted by crime and immorality when it's a Democrat.
This is absolutely true. If any Democrat did anything close to what Trump and his merry band of miscreants have done, right-wingers would be apoplectic.

Kind of like with that Bill Clinton guy.

The difference between then and now is pretty stark. I don’t remember ever seeing the same sort of cult worship of Bill Clinton from his supporters as I see Republicans do for Trump. Never any overuse of flags and signs, or boat parades, ‘Clinton Trains’, rallies, hats, vehicles plastered with stickers, the claims that Clinton was sent by God, the slavish attitude that this elite was here to save the working man and the world from a global pedophilia cabal, etc.

But Trump has a fan base that - regardless of the lying, cheating, tax fraud, business fraud and alleged rape claims - adore him with a 90% approval rating.

Makes one wonder what’s up with that sort of weirdness.

Yeah - so maybe - just maybe we can stop pretending that all these pathetic politicians are all on one side of the political isle and start displaying a bit of fair-mindedness and balance? - Or we could continie the utterly ridiculous and closed-minded charade for the sake of our own political ideology.
Funny. I don't remember saying all the pathetic politicians are on one side.

You'd have to be pretty biased for that to be your takeaway.

Makes one wonder what "fair and balanced" means to a Republican. Are we supposed to treat these two examples exactly the same?

I’m thinking that the point was how the party’s voters respond to those politicians post-crime.

In the case of Trump, it is for the Party’s voters to adopt him as the herald of Christian ‘values’ politics.

Why is that?

These QAnon Believer Believers are fascinated by pedophilia. If that helps prevent assault and leads to prosecution of pedophiles, great. I hate pedophiles and think that should be a crime that gets capital punishment without lengthy appeals.

By the way, I think that about D. Hastert and thought that when he got arrested and tried and convicted. I am not sure why it took a google search for my sock puppet K Graham to come around on that, I need to have a conversation with myself to understand that better. Around the same time as the Hastert arrest, I think a prominent republican got popped in a bathroom stall and claimed to have a wide stance while he shat.

Whatever shallow brain it took to start this thread, and believe that it was an indictment of one party over another, could probably benefit from some Vitamin D supplements, sunshine, fresh air and therapy. It is a mask or outright gaslighting or just plain effing stupid ranting rabid ideological BS. Oh, wait, my sock puppet started this thread... let me rephrase that.

The point of this thread was to create a cartoon of the rabid and insane conversations and dialogue that happen - even when the topics are life threatening and serious. Anything can be twisted into an ideological bitshat lunatic rant about the opposition. This is a case where Carville was wrong. If liberals, progressives, moderates or anyone else wants to communicate and lead their party, the country, or a cause, they better get their act together and organize. The first leader that reaches across the aisles of legislatures, school board meetings, union meetings, labor negotiations and health and human services to address real threats, without ranting like K Graham - will actually lead.

In the meantime, K Graham, Chap and Schmo have shown us all, once again, why nobody wants to ride in a car with them. Their foaming ranting ideological lunatic insane and illogical reactions are unbalanced, unmoored and unhelpful.

I care about minors. I care about safety. I care about the basic needs of children. I care about health. I do not give one damn about a bunch of lunatic fringe yammering dicks on a message board, or their equivalents in the community. Politicization of the crime (by either side) is not helpful. We need cooperation, not polarization. So K Graham, Chap and Schmo, off you f***. Come back when you can have a normal conversation.

Yep. I can't remember any Democrat ever defending Harvey Weinstein or anyone else on ceeboo's list.

Well, because of fair-mindedness and balance, obviously.

And, did anyone defend Hastert?

What the hell is your point, Schmo? Do you have a cogent argument to make? You and your little sandbox club are all the goddamn same. You can't have a conversation about a topic, without needling the everloving hell of out of posters that do not blow smoke up your ass. I am certain, that as soon as the topic stops to support your insults, prejudice and judgments, that your pals will come along and post more pictures with words to derail the thread and distract from your ineptitudes.

You are a predictable stooge. And that is great, but you are just a stooge for stooges.
