Re: Update on my daughter
If you ever decide to go on vacation in the Dells, Jack, I would be glad to drive down and meet you. It would be fun to meet your daughter, too.
Problems with auto-correct:
In Helaman 6:39, we see the Badmintons, so similar to Skousenite Mormons, taking over the government and abusing the rights of many.

I am not certain what difference there is between focused praying and focused positive thinking, but in both cases I believe they help greatly. My positive thoughts will be with both your family and the doctors.
"Any over-ritualized religion since the dawn of time can make its priests say yes, we know, it is rotten, and hard luck, but just do as we say, keep at the ritual, stick it out, give us your money and you'll end up with the angels in heaven for evermore."

I'm afraid the furthest north we tend to go into Wisconsin is Lake Geneva. My denomination owns a Bible camp there and we visit 2-4 times per year. We'll be there again Jan. 5-6.
If I ever do make it as far as the Dells, I certainly will let you know.

Re: Update on my daughter
I spoke in church this morning about my daughter's disabilities and upcoming surgery. Just for a few minutes. It was part testimony and part exhortation. Audio here. I'm in at about 17 minutes.
We had a little microphone trouble before I get started. I almost made it to the end without crying.

Thanks for sharing this, MsJack. It was touching and Harley will be in my thoughts this week, especially Wednesday. If I was able, I'd buy some Samaos from her for sure.

Thanks honor. The surgery went as well as it could have. Only time will tell if it helped her speech.
She has been miserable post-surgery though, sobbing that she wants to go home, throwing up old, brown blood twice, and refusing to eat anything. She isn't in any danger, but it's hard seeing her like this. I am having a hard time tonight.

My heart is with you. I have been in the hospital more than once with a sick child. Seeing your child miserable is a unique kind of misery.
We hate to seem like we don’t trust every nut with a story, but there’s evidence we can point to, and dance while shouting taunting phrases.

DD is awake, eating a popsicle, not throwing up, and in better spirits.
