POC and Trump Fan: A Baffling Combination

No way. I can remember many posts made by a couple of posters on this forum that served no other purpose than the poster hoping it would cast black people in a negative light.

There are those few Trump fans who are POCs (people of color). I could understand POC Republicans before Trump, but I am having a real difficult time fathoming POC Republicans in Trump's GOP.

What do they say their reasons are?

This is where it gets tough to answer for those who let their unchecked emotions run over whatever cerebral matter is left.

Specifics are never a hallmark of those making an emotional statement.

I gotta say... pretty racist post right here...but please explain how every white, yellow, brown, and red Trump supporter is racist...but you, the guy who can't understand how "colored people" don't have their hair on fire over the white boogey man, you're all about that non-racist stuff...maybe POC just need a white hero like you, is that it?
2. There is no evidence that Trump is a white supremacist...NAACP award anybody? Nevertheless, nothing beyond the ghost stories Maddow pulls out from behind her bigoted, and flat white, butt suggests that Trump is a white supremacist.
3. Now let us all just sit back and let you white guys tell us how it is for us POC. Thanks goodness massah for smart white folk like you'ums dat come to deliver us to promised land.

I do disagree with Kish on one thing. I don't think Trump is on the side of the whites. I think he is on the side of himself. I think he may greatly envy Putin and want to be like that. The least resistance to achieving his goals is to be "with the whites". I don't think he is inherently racist. I mean, hell, prior to his political run, was he against cheap labor for his businesses? I think he has molded himself to serve those who will in turn laugh at his jokes and say he's 'da man and keep voting for him, however it is has has to accomplish that. The easiest way is to serve white republicans. And that's pretty easy to do, because to the rich he makes more rich, and poor whites are unfortunately all brainwashed by right-wing media and junk emails that depict entitlements, liberal ideals of inclusiveness, and "big government" as the cause of their problems. It's the opposite of course, things like regressive taxes screw them more than anything, but don't try to explain it.

I guess I don’t see the inconsistency between hiring people of color for cheap labor and being a white supremacist. As I said, white supremacism is about whites being in charge, not whites refusing to pay crap wages to boss around people of color. I think you underestimate the degree to which Trump has gone out of his way to pander to racists, and some of these gestures are clearly more than acting. His whole thing about having superior German genes, for example. I don't think that is just a dog whistle. No, I am fairly confident that he feels white people are better and that they should be in charge. That does not mean he has an ideologically strict and disciplined Neo-Nazi perspective. He is more like your casually racist old uncle who works around people of color all the time, is completely shameless about stereotyping, and really does believe he and other whites are better. Now he has been put in a position where his natural affinity for doctrinaire ideological racists over their shared racism comes in handy. He talks the talk and walks the walk. The rest of us are nitpicking over what we can prove him to be while he does a lot of harm, just as a sly ideological racist would in his position.

I think this is spot on. Trump is one of the most self centered people I have seen. And I don't think that opinion was even in dispute a decade ago.
