Oh, well I think you'd find yourself on the outside of most Leftists' on the issue, at least from what I saw on the Interwebz, comments sections, and here. Even after being investigated it wasn't good enough.

So, if the FBI did a quickie for the candidate you'd be good? You wouldn't #justbelieveher?

DrC, do you never have the sense that this particular game is, well, a bit played out? Try a new line, perhaps?

I guess we can coin some appropriate terms now:

Democrapists (however you want to pronounce that one works in either case).

Rapeocrats

Demoncrats

Doucheocrats

Demorapists

Pick one! It's all good fun!

That Democrats and Leftists are abject hypocrites in word and deed? No. It never gets boring pointing out the beam in their eyes.

It's your fault Chap for arguing in post after post that all allegations should be believed no matter what. Oh how you'd implore us to believe every allegation for hours and hours on end. Looks like you've been hoisted by your own petard.

Well, I don't formulate my opinions based on trying to figure out what "the left" decides. Honestly, Doc, I think the whole black or white thinking approach to this issue is silly. I am still critical of the K investigation because it was limited for political reasons. I think the investigators should have been given the discretion to determine which witnesses to interview and given the time to track down whatever evidence they thought was reasonable. I don't know who would have the jurisdiction to investigate this, but I think it should be checked out.

I don't #justbelieveher was ever intended to mean that anytime an allegation of sexual assault is made that the accused should be thrown in prison. Maybe because I've been in the law biz for so long, it feels natural to separate "I believe you" from "There's not enough evidence to win a criminal or civil case." The message that many women seem to get from the interaction with law enforcement, hospital staff, etc. is that their claim is met with hyper skepticism. And when police departments fail to investigate based on an officer's gut instinct or large numbers of rape kits just don't get processed, the message that I think is being sent is "I don't believe you enough to even investigate what you are telling me.

So, personally, that's the way I think about "justbelieveher" -- believe her enough to take the allegation seriously and investigate it. Don't treat it with hyper skepticism because of someone else's reputation. We have statistics that show sexual assault isn't rare, yet any allegation of sexual assault is me with a concerted effort not to believe the accuser.

So, Doc, do you think this case is a better or worse one than Ford's in terms of it being a political hit job from the start?

Damn, Dog. You project everywhere. Just because you take positions based on your tribe, that doesn't mean everyone else does.
