For example, had Gunnar been under Prime during his treatment, he would have had some fairly hefty copays to deal with though I don't think as high as the civilian community with which I have zero experience.

Just mentioning for the sake of mentioning.

Thanks. I read more on TFL than Prime.

Be glad you aren’t in the private market. I’m self employed and pay almost 3K per month for health insurance — no vision or dental. And that’s with pretty hefty co-pays and deductibles. After 25 years of self-employment, I’m looking for a job just to get health insurance.

I understand the high cost of civilian health insurance. Our family members pay for civilian except for one who is on Prime due to widow's benefits. We didn't pay out of pocket for this but Mr. Jersey did pay to the tune of head to toe disabilities that have left him 100% disabled. There are tons of things we can't do in life on account of the totality of those various conditions. Never imagined this going in, I can tell you that much. We focus on what we CAN do.

We all pay one way or another. In terms of dollars and cents or life altering circumstance. Sometimes both.
