Wow... ajax is feeling particularly racist this weekend. I wonder what happened.

He probably just found out his daughter has a crush on a black dude.

An article

https://m.sfgate.com/news/article/Rep-M ... 950261.php

"You have made quite a big, big, big, big thunder on this issue. I am really, really very proud of you and the work that you're doing," Waters is heard saying.

As it was done by russian trolls they are very upset because it makes US representatives look foolish.

You are a true patriot iwantottalk. Thank you for your service. God bless yer, and may God bless these, THE United State of America.
It will ultimately create a war among the people, and this is an effort, a peaceful effort, to make sure that war never comes. To ensure there is not a war between the government and the people. And if we do this correctly now, we can make sure that peace will reign in this country. – Ammon Bundy

The reported words do not seem out of place as an expression of admiration on Water's part. Presumably the call then went the usual way of conversations with trolls - a gradual ramping up of weirdness and inappropriateness until we have the pseudo-Thunberg saying she would like to have hot lesbian sex with an elderly black lady (or whatever), the game being to see how long the politician will hang on before their troll alarm sounds and they hang up.

I suppose a politician could avoid this by always insisting on calling back any supposedly well-known caller who is not on a previously known number. But given all the time (and time is money) that the politician's PA would have to spend making sure they had the genuine number for the supposed caller, and given the risk of offending a real caller of importance, most politician's are likely to take the risk that they are on to a low-budget time waster like the russians in question.

What else do you think they should do? It seems to me that, under the circumstances Waters was probably right to take the risk and talk. How was that foolish? (Please be sure you have read my entire post before you answer that question.)

Chap, it's "Waters", not "Walters."
No precept or claim is more likely to be false than one that can only be supported by invoking the claim of Divine authority for it--no matter who or what claims such authority.

I assume these same Russian hackers will be part of both the Trump and McConnell re-election teams.

And when the confederates saw Jackson standing fearless as a stone wall the army of Northern Virginia took courage and drove the federal army off their land.

No, I've already hired them to serve on the House Intelligence committee as experts on impeachment.

This liberal would be about socializing … uh, umm. … Would be about, basically, taking over, and the government running all of your companies.

Well, given Trump's record of obvious reluctance to criticise Putin, the Russians would have to be stupid to refrain from using any means open to them to support Trump's re-election.

And the Russians who decide such matters do not appear to be very stupid, do they? So I'd expect them to do their best to back Trump and McConnell all the way.

I mean, why wouldn't they?
