The Iowa Caucuses are not a primary. Your organization and ground game are incredibly important, more important than the overall popularity of the candidate. This is not about the casual voter. Bernie's young volunteers remind of Eugene McCarthy college volunteer in the '68 New Hampshire primary.
You can't discount the importance of organization. Rudy Giuliani thought he could run a race on name recognition and never got out of the starting blocks. Running for President may be about grand ideas and policies, but without a volunteers and organization you get nowhere.
I think of Iowa is the place for smaller candidates to get a shot a name recognition and legitimacy. I don't think any of the top 5 are eliminated yet.
Still trying to figure out WTF was going on with the software. Nevada was going to use the same software for their primary, but they dropped it like a hot potato.

I'm not sure how or why, but the chatter has Bloomberg 'doubling down' on Iowa to 'take advantage of the chaos' with increased spending on ads. It strikes me as savvy, but other than a little bit of intuition, I couldn't tell you why. Perhaps he believes there'll be a re-vote?
