Re: Charlie Kirk Miracle
Yeah, people love to praise Jesus who don't live like they agree with anything he's purported to have said.
Praising Jesus seems to be worth about as much as counterfeit cash.
Of course, MAGA's terrible at definitions. They don't know what communist, Marxist, progressive, socialist, or rapist mean, so it's not surprising they have no idea what it means to be a Christian. Ignorance is their calling card.

Religion is for people whose existential fear is greater than their common sense. It's also the favored cover for hypocrites.
The god idea is popular with desperate people.

Ceeboo should just convert to Judaism. YHWH had no problem commanding murder, rape, slavery, every kind of diabolical deed. It's really this Jesus thing that creates the conflict of interest, and Ceeboo seems to like Israel much more than the united states. It's a perfect fit.

So, in a deeply somber and moving ceremony, broadcast everywhere, you heard the guy you voted into the US presidency say things not only worse than everyone else, but also things that were extremely inappropriate.ceeboo wrote: ...For what it's worth, as a self-proclaimed Christain myself, I heard the Gospel preached, I heard hours of worship music, I heard praise towards Jesus, I heard many express mourning, and most significant of all, I heard a very recent widow express one of the most remarkable/loving/Christian things I have ever heard in my life. I am still blown away by it.
Yeah, and I heard Trump saying inappropriate things in a very inappropriate environment. I guess we all have ears, and we all hear what we choose.

Re: Charlie Kirk Miracle
When ceeboo describes the Christian memorial service for Kirk and Trump’s part in it, I am forced to think that these Christians are fooling themselves. On the one hand, I am touched by Erika Kirk’s message of love and forgiveness. I hope it turns out to be true, and I don’t doubt her intentions.
But let’s think this through. These folks talk about love and forgiveness, but they voted for Trump, knowing who he is and what his values are. Erika Kirk will continue to be involved in an effort that supports Trump and his agenda. Ultimately, they own and are accountable for Trump’s evil, and there can be no doubt that what he said was in no way Christian or worthy of Christ. So, they may feel that they can have their cake and eat it too, but we all see their works and judge accordingly. They are turning people away from Christ by bowing down to this golden calf.

I am forced to think you're a fool.
Who are "these folks" that you are 'thinking' about? A single person, that would be me, made reference about the love and forgiveness that a very recent widow displayed to millions of people. A remarkable thing to witness. These folks talk about love and forgiveness
I will refrain from speaking for millions of Christians (some who voted for Trump and others who voted for Harris) and simply say that I voted for Trump and would do it again without hesitation. He was, by far, the best option. Period!but they voted for Trump
Given that you have decided to judge Christian love and forgiveness, you should resist your constant urge to display your TDS and make everything about Trump.
Along with me and an ever-growing number of American citizens.Erika Kirk will continue to be involved in an effort that supports Trump and his agenda.
Nonsense!Ultimately, they own and are accountable for Trump’s evil
If you want to talk about accountability and evil - you should start with the complete lack of accountability that your political side has played by cementing horrific labels to half of the citizens in this country. Which, no doubt, has played a role.
None of us (Christian or not) are worthy of Christ - It's not about merit. Perhaps you should pause before lecturing on Christ and Christianity.and there can be no doubt that what he said was in no way Christian or worthy of Christ.
Indeed, you do enjoy judging from your heightened position. So, they may feel that they can have their cake and eat it too, but we all see their works and judge accordingly.
Reading the room isn't your strong suit, is it? Man, are you clueless. They are turning people away from Christ by bowing down to this golden calf.
"They" (whoever the hell you imagine this to be) isn't doing anything. Many millions of people watched several hours - heard the Gospel message - heard worship music, and heard a young woman, who just had her husband violently taken from her by an evil hate filled assassin, and she expressed forgiveness. She extended love. You suggest that this event "turned people away from Christ? This event, having very little to do with people, will bring many to Christ, and the one wooing these many is Christ.

Re: Charlie Kirk Miracle
Sorry you felt you had to react emotionally before thinking it through.
I don’t doubt you feel that way. But what about the fact that your emotional reward comes at the cost of supporting a man who does not value any of that? You can’t have it both ways in the end. No man can serve two masters. This is the clearest example of two masters I have seen in my life. No one can truly support Trump and support Christ. He will hate the one and love the other.Who are "these folks" that you are 'thinking' about? A single person, that would be me, made reference about the love and forgiveness that a very recent widow displayed to millions of people. A remarkable thing to witness.
I am very comfortable with my view that following Trump is inconsistent with following Christ. I don’t see how you square the two allegiances. In my view, it is an impossibility. If you feel you can convince me otherwise, be my guest.I will refrain from speaking for millions of Christians (some who voted for Trump and others who voted for Harris) and simply say that I voted for Trump and would do it again without hesitation. He was, by far, the best option. Period!
Given that you have decided to judge Christian love and forgiveness, you should resist your constant urge to display your TDS and make everything about Trump.
Christ says to love your enemy. Trump unapologetically hates his enemy. That’s just one small taste of all of the anti-Christian characteristics of Trump.
? I am not going to guess what your vague emotional expressions refer to.Nonsense!
Do you actually read the New Testament ceeboo? The one where Christ calls out hypocrites? How dare he label people in accordance with their evil deeds? Your views are really confusing. What you call insults, I think of as descriptive. And, I don’t really have a side. I see Trump as an evil man, and I lament that he has deceived so many people into following him. Some of those folks are just bad people looking for power and profit. Others are confused, ignorant, or deceived. If you want to talk about accountability and evil - you should start with the complete lack of accountability that your political side has played by cementing horrific labels to half of the citizens in this country. Which, no doubt, has played a role.
One thing I do know is that no one should be confused about whether Trump is a decent person who is good at his job. The fact that he is neither is painfully obvious. And that’s not me being insulting. It’s me being honest.
That’s a weak dodge, ceeboo. Anyone can see whether a person’s actions are consistent with Christian principles. I am not required to follow your specific Protestant terminology. I see your sly anti-Mormon swipe in that. Not impressive. Not persuasive. So, you can happily follow an evil man who matches most of the scriptural descriptors of the anti-Christ because he promised political power? To end abortion? Help me out here.None of us (Christian or not) are worthy of Christ - It's not about merit. Perhaps you should pause before lecturing on Christ and Christianity.
We are all commanded to judge righteously. Only a fool refrains for judging whom he would follow.Indeed, you do enjoy judging from your heightened position.
Because the essence of Jesus’ message and ministry was “reading the room,” eh ceeboo?Reading the room isn't your strong suit, is it? Man, are you clueless.
LOL!!!!

Ceeboo, the only person that made this all about Trump is … Trump. Loudly and proudly, at that, and boosted by 10,000 watts of audio power into a stadium of up to 100,000 people who then cheered on his words of hatred. Cheering on what you and others have accused random nobody ‘leftists’ of believing, but here on full, amplified display for the entire planet … by a supposed ‘leader’.ceeboo wrote: ↑Wed Sep 24, 2025 2:06 amWho are "these folks" that you are 'thinking' about? At some point, - and disregarding the fact that Trump has not changed any of the economic woes that you were so worried about - you may find it possible to separate your identity from someone who seems to stand against just about every decent principle that you claim to stand for. Just because you voted for him, it doesn’t mean that you have to pretend that valid and deserved criticism of his abhorrent nature and actions is also a criticism of your own person, unless you truly need to support those actions to preserve your own ego or somesuch.

Re: Charlie Kirk Miracle
What about Biden? Harris? If I voted for Biden or Harris, am I following them also? Or is this "serving two masters" bit only about Trump?Kishkumen wrote: ↑Wed Sep 24, 2025 2:27 amI don’t doubt you feel that way. Let me guess, your view is that following Harris is consistent with following Christ. Am I right?I am very comfortable with my view that following Trump is inconsistent with following Christ.
Easy. There aren't two allegiances.I don’t see how you square the two allegiances. In my view, it is an impossibility. If you feel you can convince me otherwise, be my guest.
My Lord is Christ - I try (fail often) to follow him. I don't follow any American politician. As an American, I cast my vote based on who I think will do the best job for the country. In the last election, it wasn't even a close call in my opinion. As it turns out, many people happened to agree with me. And, as far as future elections go (unless there are radical changes with the modern democratic party) these elections won't even be close. The entire country is turning red, and it has very little to do with Trump - or allegiance to Trump. It has everything to do with the option.
Would you say that politicians on the left have any hatred? How about the citizens who happen to be on the ideological left, any hatred there? How about this very discussion board? See any hatred being expressedChrist says to love your enemy. Trump unapologetically hates his enemy. That’s just one small taste of all of the anti-Christian characteristics of Trump.
"New Testament?" Doesn't ring a bell.Do you actually read the New Testament ceeboo?
LOL!And, I don’t really have a side.
Anyone else evil, or just Trump?I see Trump as an evil man
Do you think people "follow" Harris? Biden? Or do you think that those people just cast their vote for these folks, but people who voted for Trump are "followers".lament that he has deceived so many people into following him.
Can you give me the names of a few politicians on the left that you believe display Christian principles? That’s a weak dodge, ceeboo. Anyone can see whether a person’s actions are consistent with Christian principles.
Anti-Mormon swipe? Never even crossed my mind.I see your sly anti-Mormon swipe in that.
This is your opinion, it's not mine. So, you can happily follow an evil man who matches most of the scriptural descriptors of the anti-Christ
While evil can be seen in various degrees within all of us, from a modern American political party view, evil runs rampant on the left in my opinion (To be clear, I mean literally evil)
Who are you following and are you judging them as well?We are all commanded to judge righteously. Only a fool refrains for judging whom he would follow.
I wasn't speaking about Jesus' message and ministry; I was speaking about your proclamation that people will be turned away from Christ by Kirk's funeral - you have it entirely bass-ackward in my opinion.Because the essence of Jesus’ message and ministry was “reading the room,” eh ceeboo?
LOL!!!!

I can’t think of a comparable example of Harris or Biden doing what we just saw Trump do, and Trump has done this a dozen times already in the past few months.
Maybe when you can do more than hand-wave away the obvious public displays of hatred repeatedly exhibited by Trump while bemoaning what your imagined ideological ‘enemies’ are doing, you can move beyond your easy embrace of Trump’s anti-Christian reality. You’re not there yet, though.

Where was Ceeboo’s voice when Kirk uttered those words? How about when he made a slew of derogatory comments about Harris?
