At some point, it seems that there’s a weight of evidence pointing to the fact that some people are simply mentally unwell and dysfunctional, and possibly dangerous. And trying to excuse that with ‘he’s just an asshole’ really doesn’t work. I don’t think that it would wave away abusive behavior, as example. If some folks refuse to see the problem, then the folks that do aren’t the problem.



A president and his staff putting up plaques in a public place for all Americans disparaging past presidents and labeling one of them ‘Autopen’ is not normal adult behavior, and the people who enable it are psychologically and emotionally compromised.
