Over the last several decades, numerous Big 12 and other conference coaches/coaching staff have moved up to the Big 10/SEC, and many Big 10/SEC coaches have moved down to other conferences. This has been going on for decades.

In many ways, it is like arguing whether Ruth's Chris is better than McDonalds. They both serve meat. And they are both on the same street. The argument about which is better is a bit more nuanced than cloth or paper napkins. The Big 12 teams may be a crap ton more profitable than some of the SEC teams.
