And let's be clear, the Trump idiots of the world don't give a pebble of crap about Hunter's taxes. If anything, they should be saying how smart he is for avoiding as much taxes as he can.Icarus wrote: ↑Sat Dec 19, 2020 12:28 amEarth to dumbass. The media didn't cover the idiotic claims by people like you because they were baseless. The possibility that Hunter Biden may have cheated on his taxes is a totally separate issue. Stop conflating them just so you can say "see were were right all along and the media gave him a pass." This is what idiots like Tucker Carlson are doing because they know their subjenius low information audience won't know the difference.
But you know, liars will lie.
I sincerely love how any GOP criticism these days is empty, because we know they don't care about anything except political affiliation.
A Democrat swore? So what? Screw you, Republican. How about that?

Un-damned-believable. It may! Aren’t you literally “all briefed up” on the cyber attack? Every single intel agency is telling us it’s the Russians and you’re on Twitter carrying water for Putin. This is on the cusp of treason.Russia, Russia, Russia is the priority chant when anything happens because Lamestream is, for mostly financial reasons, petrified of discussing the possibility that it may be China (it may!). There could also have been a hit on our ridiculous voting machines during the election, which is now obvious that I won big, making it an even more corrupted embarrassment for the USA.

Not only that, we know that the hack was accomplished through compromise of a patch on a software update of software that is not used on voting machines.Doctor CamNC4Me wrote: ↑Sat Dec 19, 2020 5:15 pmWelp. This is the leadership we get”

And this: the White House was preparing to issue a statement identifying Russia as the main actor in the hack when they were ordered to stand down.

Hrm. An interesting hot take with regard to Trump pulling funding from cyber security to build his wall.

https://www.reddit.com/r/AskALiberal/co ... ?context=3
The hundreds of millions of dollars were pulled from the VERY departments tasked with monitoring for this kind of stuff and it ZEROED OUT THE BUDGET for some of the programs designed to stop/detect these kind of attacks. From the document....
Total funding changes: Decrease, ($99,969k) The funding decrease in Research, Development and Innovation will be applied across the six thrusts: Apex, Cargo Security, Chemical, Biological and Explosive Defense Research and Development, Counter Terrorist, Cyber Security/Information Analysis, and First Responders/Disaster Resilience. In order to maximize available research and development funding, S&T leadership has prioritized projects to support Administration and Secretarial immigration and border security priorities. source
Cut: Cyber Security/Information Analysis – a decrement of $20.234M eliminates Cyber Security Research Infrastructure and Cyber Transition and Outreach investment to focus on Administration and Secretarial priorities, including immigration and border security. Same Source
Reduced Funding: Mission 4: Safeguard and Secure Cyberspace: The Program identifies, funds, and coordinates cyber security research and development resulting in deployable security solutions. These solutions include user identity and data privacy technologies, end system security, research infrastructure, law enforcement forensic capabilities, secure protocols, software assurance, and cybersecurity education. Cut 20% from $86,483k in FY 2017 to $58,248k in FY 2018
Cyber Security Research Infrastructure – FY 2017 Annualized Continuing Resolution: $10.847M. FY 2018 Request: $0. This program provides the infrastructure necessary to support the R&D that is critical for matching and adapting cyber threats. Much like testing for CBE R&D, special testbeds and data sets must be made available to the cyber research community, and unlike CBE, there is not a large selection of facilities or capabilities like missile ranges or BSL-4 laboratories that can be used to safely test malicious code somewhere other than on the live Internet or on real data.
And these kinds of programs are EXACTLY the kind of R&D cyberthreat analysis that is designed to look for 0 day security risks from all software (3rd party and in-house).

Trump will throw the entire country under the bus to avoid having to call out the folks who’ve financed his family.Doctor CamNC4Me wrote: ↑Sat Dec 19, 2020 5:15 pmWelp. This is the leadership we get”

Re: So. Russia hacked us.
An interesting take on ‘5th Generation’ warfare, which taken in context, raises muh hackles:

Way back when, around the mid-2000s, the Army was grappling with the idea of 5th generation warfare, what it was, what it looks like, what it means in terms of the future’s battlefield. Some white papers were floating around, and the military settled on the idea of cyberspace as the next arena, hence the Army trying to set up a cyber command.
Well. We just saw the first real salvo go down between two of the world’s hegemonies. Mitt Romney has been on camera stating that we need to respond in kind, but our President seems content in taking no action.

Re: So. Russia hacked us.
From links through Drudge;:
Senator Romney, “Russia could cut off U.S. food and water supply in next cyberattack, Romney says
Russia acted with impunity when it hacked U.S. government servers in a global cyber-espionage campaign and could do far more damage next time — like cutting off the nation’s water and electricity supply, GOP Sen. Mitt Romney said Sunday.
“I don’t know if we have the capacity to do that in a way that would be of the same scale or even greater scale than what Russia has applied to us, but this is something we have to address as soon as possible,” said Romney.
“They potentially have the capacity to cripple us economically, they went to our businesses. They have the potential to also cripple us with regards to our water and electricity and so forth.”
Romney added: “They don’t need rockets to take those things out.””
Even Secretary of State Mike Pompeo said on Friday Russia was behind the attack, calling it “a grave risk” to the United States. I’m sure at least the White House is being honest behind the scenes?
“Democratic lawmakers said they had received little information from the Trump administration beyond what’s in the media.
“Their briefings were obtuse, sorely lacking in details and really seemed an attempt to provide us with the barest of minimum in information that they had to give us,” Democratic Representative Debbie Wasserman Schultz told reporters after a classified briefing.”
Oh.

Could the Russian motivation be the loss of Trump as an asset?
