We've had a lot of close encounters with lightning, usually while fishing on the beach. We have found if we sacrifice a gerbil to the lightning God Zeus two days before an outdoor adventure, he will protect us and keep the lightning at least 50 feet away. How do you protect your family from lightning?? Anybody want to buy a gerbil?

I listed several factors re: home security in the above post that you quoted. You blew them all off because you give no consideration to those factors.
How would you go about sizing up a home owner's living conditions in order to prepare them for security measures?
