• I mean, maybe something kind of happened but not like you're suggesting

More nails in Trump's coffin, Mattis just resigned over Syria, the Dow is in freefall, and Trump has thrown a temper tantrum over his wall and is shutting down the Government. His acting Attorney General was counseled by Ethics to recuse from the Mueller Investigation and refused. Trump is now contemplating removing troops from Afghanistan. Is he trying to wag the dog?

We saw what a mistake this was when Obama did it. The walls are closing in on Trump. Is Pence free and clear of collusion? Seems they are on track to wrap up the Investigation by February according to some reports...

Republicans will never, ever impeach Pence if it means making a Democrat president. That is a non-starter. There is absolutely nothing he could do that would remove him from office. This is kinda scary when you think about it. The only thing thing that makes a Trump impeachment and removal even thinkable is knowledge that removing him installs a different Republican.

You can have a video of Pence doing something heinous like confessing to sexual assault on tape, then having dozens of accusers offer independently corroborating stories about how he assaulted them and it won't mean a god damn thing to them.

I fear you are right. Even if outrage and disgust over Trump's corruption and incompetence rises to a level that he is successfully impeached and convicted, despite a Republican majority in the Senate, it is hard to imagine that that they would also vote to convict Pence in an impeachment trial, no matter what Pence is guilty of, if it would result in Pelosi becoming President. Pence would probably have to die in office or voluntarily resign to permit Pelosi to succeed him before his term is up.

Says something about Trump's power over the Republican Party, cause Pelosi was sure he could not get the votes in the House and he did, of course.

He was offered a package long ago with 1.6 Billion for the wall, but the Repubs kept adding on crap that killed it. Now, he'll get nothing and the Government will shut down if he doesn't change his mind as he is wont to do.
