Bull damned crap, idiot. The military has to abide by all sorts of environmental regulations, it has to respect US citizen property rights, and, I dunno, there are all sorts of, I dunno, Constitutional issues with an active duty military doing military operations, like, I dunno, seizing its own citizens' lands for security operations.

"Traditional litigation" ? Does that mean you have to dress as Native Americans?? Oh, it's just a sneery kind of way of saying 'litigation. Right.

Let's think a bit about 'military eminent domain', shall we?

...

Trump’s militarized land seizure for border wall is more complicated than ‘I can do it if I want’

...
But Trump’s threat of using the military to acquire land for a massive federal project is nothing new or extraordinary. What is extraordinary, however, is Trump’s assertion that he can unilaterally order the military to build the wall, including seizing land, by declaring a national emergency without statutory authorization, let alone evidence of a legitimate emergency.

...

Having the military seize land to build a wall because Trump is so scared of his Base (with their fear of brown folks) is such an amazingly bad precedent that clashes with so much of what conservatives arguably believe in that it's just a wonder to watch them twist themselves into knots trying to justify it.

Inevitably, there will come the Post-Trump age, and conservatives will be left behind as empty vessels devoid of any moral standing or integrity. i have no idea how they follow this time with any self-respect, or any significant audience willing to trust or believe them in any way.

And when the confederates saw Jackson standing fearless as a stone wall the army of Northern Virginia took courage and drove the federal army off their land.

538 definitely is terrible at election forecasting compared to the strategy of always predicting the person you want to win is going to win.

I'll definitely never claim any special ability to predict election results.

But I'll definitely stick to thinking that wanting the military to seize private property in order to build a wall of dubious need - when there are other better and less expensive options that don't involve surrendering people's property rights to the will of a President during his fit of fear of losing a future election - is an amazingly bad precedent for a 'conservative' to agree to.

I welcome your rebuttal as to why it's not.

About those drugs...

New York (CNN)Most drugs are smuggled into the United States onboard fishing boats, trains, tractor-trailers and ordinary cars that come into the country at legal ports of entry, according to former cartel members who've testified in the trial of notorious cartel leader Joaquin "El Chapo" Guzman.

Some cartel members have testified about using underground tunnels. But none have said they've transported drugs into the United States at unwalled sections of the border.

The testimony comes at a time when President Donald Trump's push for a border wall includes arguments that it would help stop the flow of drugs into the United States.

Trump tweeted Friday that without a steel barrier or wall along the US-Mexico border, "our Country cannot be safe. Criminals, Gangs, Human Traffickers, Drugs & so much other big trouble can easily pour in. It can be stopped cold!"

So lets set aside your obvious eloquence and the fact that about 1/3 of the border is federal land and just have you answer a simple question... is it your understanding that Trump is proposing a continuous wall/fence for thr full "sea to shining sea" length of southern border?

oh well we didn't realize that "some" cartel members had testified....well that just settles the whole debate and i don't know why anyone bothered to listen to actual border agents on any of these matters because "some cartel members".

Oh, wow. You're back. I guess you needed a couple of days to let the hot embarrassment of being insanely wrong on the farts you keep quaffing on this thread to pass.

Again. Where. Would. You. Put. The. Walls?

Who are the 'actual border agents' who have testified that the southern border is the major route by which illegal drugs enter the US?
