Joke or not, Alfalfa’s attitude here towards firearms illustrates one of the problems with what’s commonly referred to as ‘American gun culture’. Our relationship to firearms is less utilitarian and usually far more flippant and cartoonish, or far too deeply hitched to some owners’ sense of self, than is typically found in other countries where firearms are treated more seriously.

If you lived in my neighborhood and bragged online that your children had unfettered access to loaded weapons, I would be calling CPS, whatever local school your kids attended, and the police. I'm guessing that's why you're doing it here, anonymously. Even you have to realize there's a difference between saying outrageous things while you're hiding behind anonymous trolling done purely to disrupt, and saying something like that in real life on a forum where you are known.

Beside the phone is a glock35 with a 15 round magazine and a green laser attached. That is what is in our safes. All my girls know how to shoot, in fact I’m the worst shooter in the family. It that bothers you, I don’t give two xxxks!! Do you make a phone call when there’s a swimming pool in the backyard? How bout chemicals under the kitchen sink? How bout no baby proof outlet covers in a house with an infant? How bout medications in a medicine cabinet with no lock?
