The problems with these other cases is it's kind of like going after Al Capone on mail fraud. While that might work for an underground criminal, for a criminal turned popular politician with the people -- we'll forgo the description of the mental acuity of these people for now -- the risk of making him look like a victim and increasing his popularity was too great.
This is one of the more remarkable things about human nature generally. Being criminally charged is usually a bad thing. Being convicted, even worse, but not to his brainless fans.

I was shocked when people started saying the assassination attempt would give him the election. How is being shot at a qualification for running the country? And yet, it seemed to sway some people.

I'm not going to forgo the description of the mental acuity of these people for now. There's no word for that kind of stupid, so I'll just call it Trump stupid, which is as stupid as it gets.
So, in your opinion, a vote for Kamala, Biden and Clinton was Trump genius?
Ban Whiskey permanently if that's the only way.

This couldn’t have been a more apt example of the duality of man. Human with a brain vice brain dead MAGA zombie spewing crap and drinking his own piss.

Perfect.

Yeah, you can't argue with someone who doesn't seem to understand the basic rules of logic, let alone anything else. The opposite of stupid is not necessarily genius; the opposite of stupid is not stupid.

MAGAtes are in love with the notion that anything non-MAGAte can be categorized into a single box (like "progressive" for some or "treasonous" for others), when there are millions of common sense reasons to be non-MAGAte. The first one might be, "I don't want to send everyone the message that I'm a complete prick." That's reasonable (for normal people, anyway).
Religion is for people whose existential fear is greater than their common sense.

The god idea is popular with desperate people.

Well, so much for this ‘List’ item.
Exclusive: DOGE 'doesn't exist' with eight months left on its charter

Updated November 24, 2025

  • DOGE disbanded eight months ahead of scheduled end in July 2026
  • Former DOGE employees take new roles in administration
  • Elon Musk initially led DOGE, promoting its work on social media
WASHINGTON, Nov 23 (Reuters) - U.S. President Donald Trump's Department of Government Efficiency has disbanded with eight months left to its mandate, ending an initiative launched with fanfare as a symbol of Trump's pledge to slash the government's size but which critics say delivered few measurable savings.

"That doesn't exist," Office of Personnel Management Director Scott Kupor told Reuters earlier this month when asked about DOGE's status.

It is no longer a "centralized entity," Kupor added, in the first public comments from the Trump administration on the end of DOGE.

The agency, set up in January, made dramatic forays across Washington in the early months of Trump's second term to rapidly shrink federal agencies, cut their budgets or redirect their work to Trump priorities. The OPM, the federal government's human resources office, has since taken over many of DOGE's functions, according to Kupor and documents reviewed by Reuters.

At least two prominent DOGE employees are now involved with the National Design Studio, a new body created through an executive order signed by Trump in August. That body is headed by Joe Gebbia, co-founder of Airbnb, and Trump's order directed him to beautify government websites.

Gebbia was part of billionaire Elon Musk's DOGE team while DOGE employee Edward Coristine, nicknamed “Big Balls,” encouraged followers on his X account to apply to join (‘Big Balls’ left the organization several months ago).

The fading away of DOGE is in sharp contrast to the government-wide effort over months to draw attention to it, with Trump, his advisers and cabinet secretaries posting about it on social media. Musk, who led DOGE initially, regularly touted its work on his X platform and at one point brandished a chainsaw to advertise his efforts to cut government jobs.

"This is the chainsaw for bureaucracy," Musk said, holding the tool above his head at the Conservative Political Action Conference in National Harbor, Maryland, in February.
So the Trump Administration has refocused its efforts from cutting unnecessary government spending, to making pretty websites.

Typical DEI hires who don’t WORK for a living, getting HANDOUTS from the GOVERNMENT.
Speaking of handouts, Noem's chief spokesperson got a nice chunk of the $220 million to make her advertisements (note, the last Spiderman movie cost less than that). One of the other main recipients was a company that existed for three whole days before getting the contract.

Nothing says qualified to take on a multi-million-dollar government contract quite like only existing for a few days.

Draining the swamp, amirite?

It will be interesting to see if she can make it through unscathed, or if she'll end up like most of Trump's cabinet from his first term. While the amount of corruption Trump can engage in, without losing support, is bottomless, those in his orbit thus far don't share the same cult fealty that grants perpetual immunity.

And this’ll move the needle exactly zero percent for Trump voters. Because they’re also idiots.

It would help if we had any MAGA-friendly board visitors who were capable of explaining or ‘arguing’ the valid legal case for the Administration having hauled Comey into court, but I don’t think that there are any of those people here. Or possibly anywhere.

I think it's your last sentence. It was all an obvious abuse of the DOJ... weaponization, I believe they call it. Well, when they pretended Biden did it.

Hypocrisy is their job, apparently. At the very least, it's their favorite pastime.

They can’t explain crap. They’re about as thoughtful as dogs. They literally only hear and react to trigger words. Grrbbgrrrb grrb grrb treat grrb grrb grrb. Their tails start to wag when they hear ‘treat’; the rest is lost on them. Except instead of treat they hear Autopen, or Pizzagate, or Pelosi, or whatever trigger word du jour their masters teach them.

It’s all about tail wagging and growling with these idiots.

Pretty much.
