What I think is the best trailer for Alice in Wonderland, due out on March 5th:

Yeah, I live in Los Angeles, so there are always interesting screenings around town. I couldn't list all the stuff I've gone to, but these are some of the highlights:

- "Star Wars" 30th Anniversary Screening with Q&A with George Lucas, Mark Hamill, Carrie Fisher, and the editors, SFX and sound crew.

OK...I now officially hate you! LOL

George's first comment was how he had "just seen a few more things to fix in the film", followed by audible gasps and cries of "No!" from the audience.

Back in 2003, I went to a George Lucas Q&A where he talked about the (at that point) five Star Wars films and they showed clips from each of them. During the Q&A portion, someone asked about getting the original versions of Episodes 4-6 on DVD, and George basically said "Never." People got really mad and there was a lot of "spontaneous negative feedback" from the crowd. Years later, he finally relented and the original versions were released as "bonus material". But they still haven't gotten proper treatment.

FYI, my preferred version of Episode 4 is the "Revisited Edition", where a fan with insane SFX skills went through and changed all the stuff GL should have changed, and took out the stuff he shouldn't have. It's incredible.

You can see the trailer for it here, with many examples of the improved shots: Star Wars Revisited

It's a Halloween movie! It's a Christmas movie! I love it.

I just saw that for the first time. I quite liked it, but then I usually enjoy Tim Burton's stuff.
“I was hooked from the start,” Snoop Dogg said. “We talked about the purpose of life, played Mousetrap, and ate brownies. The kids thought it was off the hook, for real.”

I work with a couple Star Wars fanatics, and we watched this together and it was hilarious, because we were just sitting there yelling "Yes! Yes! Awesome!" whenever something was fixed. Everyone I've shown this to (especially the die-hard fans) agrees that this is the version to watch.

This is one of my favorite fixes:
