Comparing Palin to Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez shows just how stupid some people are. If one can't tell the difference between the two, they must be as dumb as Palin.

The same way Trump won 2016: massive partisan stupidity, and the fact that both could see Russia from their home.

I think Lee's speech and OCA's response perfectly illustrates the difference between today's Republican and Democratic parties. I'm starting to understand why the right is so fixated on her.

No matter; she ended up quitting before the end of her term anyway.

That's true. Good thing for Alaska!

Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez's greatest hits keep coming...

"I didn't expect them to make total fools of themselves," Rep. Ocasio-Cortez told @MSNBC's Chris Hayes. "I expected a little more nuance, and I expected a little more 'concern trolling.'"

You are talking about a young and newly elected member of the House of Representatives. She is engaged in politics, not business. Politicians (at least honest ones) don't usually get to employ substantial numbers of people directly. A more reasonable question would be to ask whether the policies she advocates are likely to lead to increased long-term economic security for the majority of Americans.

In reply to that, I think she might say to you that if the US was to re-orient itself towards research, development and industrial production directed to renewable energy sources rather than to increasingly unviable and ultimately harmful fossil fuel sources, it could make itself a world leader in a whole set of industries that are already growing fast in other countries. There'd be lots of good jobs for a lot of Americans with a whole range of skills.

But as things stand, the US seems content to hand over this huge and growing market to China, while Trump babbles about 'clean coal', because he thinks that will boost his Rust Belt vote in 2020.

It is estimated that global solar power capacity will triple by 2022, driven by Chinese demand and the ever-falling cost of buying and installing solar panels.

According to the International Energy Association (IEA), photovoltaic solar power grew faster than any fuel in 2016, and there will be far more solar capacity added in the next four years than any other type of renewable energy, including wind and hydropower.

China is expected to add 40% of the world’s new solar panels between now and 2022, despite having already surpassed its solar power target for 2020.

Concerns about air quality and the fact that China is responsible for manufacturing nearly two-thirds of the world’s solar panels are expected to drive the country to reach a solar capacity of 320 gigawatts (GW) by 2022 – more than the total electricity capacity of Japan.

Alongside China’s solar expansion, the IEA expects possible policy and regulatory improvements in other key countries, such as India, Japan and the US, will cause world solar PV cumulative capacity to triple to 880 GW by 2022.

By this time renewable energy capacity overall should increase by 43% – equivalent to half the global capacity in coal power, which has taken 80 years to build.

Do you have any "posts" showing us you aren't a complete moron in the present?

Now that would be something.

ALEXANDRIA OCASIO-CORTEZ ATTACKED ON Twitter FOR CONSTITUTIONAL MISTAKE—BUT HERE'S THE FULL STORY

FOX News and the Washingtonexaminer and other Right Wing blogs pretending to be NEws have been attacking her on this point and using it as proof of her stupidity. But turns out she is 100% accurate.

The National Constitution Center also had Ocasio-Cortez’s back. On its website, the nonpartisan organization explained: “Talk about a presidential term-limits amendment started in 1944, when Republican candidate Thomas Dewey said a potential 16-year term for Roosevelt was a threat to democracy.

“In March 1947, a Republican-controlled Congress approved a 22nd Amendment, with an exception that would exclude a president in office from term limits during the ratification process.”
