For instance, on either MSNBC or CNN, I recall watching several female hosts discuss how they communicate with their very young daughters about the implications of a Trump election, particularly regarding the potential inability to terminate a pregnancy if it occurs. Are progressives discussing this with their daughters? I sincerely hope that is not the case.
That discussion sounds like rational, common sense parenting, discussing consequences.

Why would this be an issue?

Hound,

So far in your posting, you've spent all of your time on part one, categorizing all the things you think indicate progressives have coopted Democrats. Honestly, this is essentially the same thing our resident Trumpers do. You haven't provided any examples of something you think Democrats can do to "embrace everyone" (aside from avoid criticizing Trump, same as Ceeboo).

And then on the one hand you write:
Hound wrote:Young Americans aspire to find happiness, smile, own a home, and achieve success without accumulating debt after completing college
Agreed. But on the other hand, you say:
Hound wrote:On the Republican side, there are numerous memes and videos featuring Republican women smiling and laughing as they mock Taylor Swift, Nicki Minaj, Jennifer Lopez, and various other celebrities
In your world, somehow the right has a magical power to fuel dreams of home ownership and college without debt by crapping on celebrities and rallying around MMA. I'm trying to understand how it is the left is supposed to compete with that. You haven't provided any examples.
We can't take farmers and take all their people and send them back because they don't have maybe what they're supposed to have. They get rid of some of the people who have been there for 25 years and they work great and then you throw them out and they're replaced by criminals.

Maybe after Barack Obama is dead and gone. So far, Obama hasn't shown the ability to pivot the right when necessary in the Bill Clinton could.
And when the Confederates saw Jackson standing fearless like a stonewall, the army of Northern Virginia took courage and drove the federal army off their land.

In the past few weeks, all of the suggestions that I’ve seen given here or elsewhere about what Democrats need to ‘not do’ are exactly all of the things that Republicans do in spades. ; )

I think there needs to be a rethinking of how the democrats view and push ideas about how racial groups vote. Racism isn't as bad as the democrats want everyone to believe. I have many hispanic friends that voted for Trump for the same reasons that other Maga supporters did. They definitely don't like the hyper focus on sexual issues that the democrats pushed and they want a strong economy. Trump with his push toward masculine themes like going to the MMA fights and appearing on Joe Rogan and like podcasts is something perhaps the democrats should look into.
This is all that's necessary to read to realize you don't have the first idea what you're talking about

What is your intention by attempting to suggest that I authored what you wrote in the quotations above? I did not compose that!

Your actions are quite inappropriate and completely unjustified!

A tech billionaire who wouldn't be nearly as much of the billionaire he is without government subsidies.
"I have no choice (but to support E.V.s) because Elon endorsed me very strongly."
- Donald Trump

And, certainly there could be no conflict of interest with Musk heading up DOGE, which would include overseeing those billions of dollars worth of his own SpaceX, Starlink and A.I. contracts with the government, as well as those of any competing company.

; )
That's a stunning quote. Backing something for that reason, not to mention he flat out stated he was doing that, is just absurd. Also, we have 4 years of utter and ridiculous absurdities coming up. It's discouraging.

Our saving grace (hopefully) is that Trump is both malicious and incompetent.

I’m much more afraid of the next Trump who actually knows what he’s doing.

You make a good point. Unfortunately, watching how Trump, in his total stupidity, got away with so much simply by having the habits of a malignant personality, will surely suggest a strategy to someone.
