I was trying to bring a scenario of a 22 and 16 year old loving each other because honorentheos keeps keeps telling me sex shouldn't be about the sex. For Honorentheos there has to be romantic feelings. So when I brought it up the 22 and 16 year old scenerio Honorentheos obviously didn't like it.

That was the only reason why I brought it up EAllusion, it was because of honorentheos. We know honoentheos, crema, and lemmie simply want 20 year olds in prison for having a relationship with 16 year olds. I was simply trying to do a thought experiment, please forgive me if I offended you.

For honrentheos, crema, and lemmie 20 year olds having sex with 16 year olds can't be tolerated. But it's okay, at least with honrentheos I am having an intelligent conversation at times, hopefully we all can finish the conversation in a civil manner.

As I said answer your own questions, you are making a claim that it is perfectly alright for teachers to sleep with their students, pretend weak protestations otherwise, so do the research, prove that it is not harmful. Form your conscience/moral compass.

This is not even remotely similar to anything anyone has said on this thread. You continue to use strawmen like the one above to make your argument easier, it isn't helping though. Stick to the points people have made. No one has suggested that it is 100% impossible for a 22 y/o and and a 16 y/o to not be in a legitimate relationship. Just that it is probable that the relationship isn't on the up and up and it should be a warning sign to anyone in a guardian role. If it helps to think about it, you aren't 100% certain there is no God but you recognize it is the most likely answer given the evidence at hand. That is how we view your proposed scenario, it isn't certain said 22 y/o is a creep, but it is the most likely answer.

I see no reason you would quote me in response to café crema here. It is not relevant to your back and forth and gives the unfair impression that I am in disagreement with café.

DoubtingThomas, I'll keep this short because I think you engaging with Honor is your best bet here and I don't want to interfere.

Please do. Do you believe I need professional help for what I just said above? Is it morally wrong? Would 16 year olds be better off with 17 year olds?

I don't think you need professional help for what you specifically said above, I think you just have a lot of life to learn. EA has done an excellent job in demonstrating why your thinking on that was pretty skewed and I hope you see his logic.

That said, I do think you need help in general. Whether that is with a trained counselor or just a solid mentor is debatable and I'm not fully in a position to tell you otherwise. But it appears to me, with your posting on this board, that you are in need of a bit of guidance and a sounding board that is more personal and back-and-forth than what these forums can provide you.

ETA: Don't mistake intelligence for good match either. Be willing to acknowledge your daughter might fall for a caring but dumb person. It is how some of us have managed to find our SOs.

To clarify again, I only brought the 22 and 16 year old scenario because many told me the ""power differential" was the problem, but it seems it is not the problem after all.

So, what if a 22 and 16 year old are neighbors or from the same LDS ward, and the families have known each other for years?
