Are there no Trump defenders left...?

Check out this photograph of Trump exiting his limo:

Image

First of all, look at the thickness of that door. Look at the agent on the right opening the door. It looks like he's exerting himself a bit, his hand gripping the upper door frame. Look at the width of that upper door frame.

The lower section of the door frame looks like it is connected to an articulated arm running under the frame. I'd be guessing here, but the when the door is closed that articulated arm further connects the door to the bottom of the frame, giving an additional connection from the door to the frame in the event of an explosion.

For comparison, this is a car door frame if you are not President:

So I'd say that the door on that limo, as well as the unpaid agent opening it, are both defending the President.

Investigators have emails from late 2015 and early January 2016 in which Cohen communicated with or copied Don Jr. and Ivanka and discussed the Trump Tower Moscow project. Ivanka at one point recommended an architect.

Trump was advocating dropping sanctions without disclosing that for the US to do that would be a huge financial windfall for him, because now we know Trump and his business at that time were secretly negotiating a gigantic business deal for Trump Tower Moscow that was being financed by a Russian sanctioned bank.

I don't know if it'll ever click for his supporters just how wrong and evil this is, but we'll see as more and more information comes out about his dealing with the Russians.

Yeah, but where's the evidence that Don Jr. and Ivanka ever said anything to their father about their discussions with Cohen of a project named after their father and which would have made a major contribution to the profits of of their father's company? I mean, the idea that they would have talked to him on this subject is pure baseless supposition, amirite?

Just like in the Bible, here's the sign of the beast:
Image

I did not know that the Presidential Limo was known as 'the beast'. Here's a snippet from Wikipedia:

A Cadillac, the presidential state car was not based on any single model of car,[15] though it had the "dual-textured grille and the dinner plate-sized Cadillac coat-of-arms badge" emblematic of the Cadillac CTS and the Cadillac Escalade. The headlights and taillights were identical to those used on other Cadillac production models...] The Obama/Trump presidential state car was speculated to be much heavier than its predecessor as it is equipped with Goodyear Regional RHS tires that are usually reserved for medium- and heavy-duty trucks; speculated weights range from 15,000 to 20,000 pounds The limousine was reported to cost between US$300,000 (equivalent to $350,349 in 2018) and US$1,500,000 (equivalent to $1,613,357 in 2018).The presidential state car was maintained by the United States Secret Service.

The doors had no keyholes; the way to open the passenger doors on the limousine is a secret known only to the Secret Service. It had more 5-inch (130 mm)-thick bulletproof glass than the previous model, and only the window at the driver's seat opened (to pay tolls). It also had run-flat tires and an interior which was completely hermetically sealed to protect the occupants in the event of a chemical attack. The 2009 presidential state car model had night vision optics, a tear gas cannon, onboard oxygen tanks, an armored fuel tank filled with foam to prevent explosion, pump-action shotguns, and 2 US pints (0.95 l; 1.7 imp pt) of blood in the president's blood type.Whether it was or was not armed with rocket-propelled grenades, the car could fire "multi-spectrum infrared smoke grenades as a counter-measure to a rocket-propelled grenade attack or anti-tank missiles." The car featured 8-inch (200 mm)-thick doors. General Motors spokeswoman Joanne K. Krell said of the presidential state car, "The presidential vehicle is built to precise and special specifications, undergoes extreme testing and development, and also incorporates many of the top aspects of Cadillac's 'regular' cars -- such as signature design, hand-cut-and-sewn interiors, etc."

Wow.

Yep, it is. I heard or read that several months ago. Apparently it gets like 3 point something mpg. He's basically riding around in some kind of armored doomsday vehicle that he can't get out of under his own power because the doors are so heavy.

I think that the new fleet isn't exactly Cadillac. I forget what I read about that and don't feel like searching for it. I do believe I read that cost was 1.5 million for one of the new vehicles and if I am not mistaken, I think it's a fleet of 12 like vehicles. Twelve because they have to be subject to rotation and substitution, and moved around to meet his needs.

I used to do VIP transportation arrangements for the gov't so you could say it's kind of a little side interest of mine how they facilitate transportation for President.

It's kind of fascinating to me how his transportation is so far stepped up from what I used to do. I could have perhaps 4 administrative vehicles on the yard and the ability to pull from other organizations for foreign dignitaries when needed where he's got an entire fleet of specialized astronomically high priced vehicles at his disposal the moment he needs them and they can appear wherever and whenever he needs them--transported by ground or air.

Tons of money goes into that whole set up.

https://www.thedailybeast.com/kremlin-b ... eport-says

The Kremlin has long denied that it had anything to do with the infiltration of the National Rifle Association and the broader American conservative movement. A U.S. intelligence report reviewed by The Daily Beast tells a different story.

...

“This reporting indicates that Alexander Torshin was working with the blessing of the Kremlin, at a minimum,” one European intelligence official told The Daily Beast. The official added that this reporting is consistent with his group’s understanding of how the Kremlin operates.

ETA: In the above link. Start at the beginning. There's an assault team that follows the President motorcade in a van.

After watching motorcade videos--it's there every time.

1:47 in this video. You can see the van roll in.
