You can quickly find three sources in Google search. If it is not accurate then correct it by giving us a reliable source.

honorentheos wrote:When you state that it's "morally wrong" for a 24 year old to date an 18 year old in Bahrain, what exactly do you mean by morally wrong? Setting aside whether this is factual or not, do you mean that it's illegal and a person could face jail time? That it's frowned upon in Bahraini culture but not codified into law? What does the phrase "morally wrong" mean?

My own thinking was to focus on the moral reasoning of the topic rather than its accuracy. That would be my preference still.

Still thinking about your question.

Read

"A prison sentence of no more than 10 years shall be the sentence for any person who has sexual intercourse with a female who is more than sixteen years but less than twenty one years, with her consent"

"Penal Cone of Bahrain" (PDF). Government of Bahrain.

Hi DT,

To prime the pump, I thought this short discussion on Kant's Categorical Imperative on the BBC's In Our Time covers a lot of territory in a very short timeframe that might benefit you as you think on ethics:

http://www.bbc.co.uk/programmes/b0952zl3

It's barely an overview but it may point you in directions that interest you and light other pathways ahead. It does a decent job of highlighting how Kant's moral philosophy is born out of his awakening by David Hume to challenges of reason as primary, and engages Hume in developing a rigorous foundation of ethics built on moral reasoning.
