I appreciate the President's comments from his Oval office address on political violence. I thought the comments did an admirable job denouncing normalizing violence and the rhetoric of violence while acknowledging the election is still over fundamental differences that will have important consequences.

As a human being: Heartbreaking to watch - I felt for Biden's family - I struggle to understand how his inner circle could possibly have allowed him to take the stage.

As an American citizen: Watching the sitting President was very troubling/concerning on several levels.

As a Christian: I am saddened as I anticipate how many will use this heart-wrenching event to mock and humiliate a human being for political gains. Understanding how many families face similar/difficult situations with a loved one, I find myself overflowing with empathy and compassion.

Ceeboo, I’m wondering. As former president Trump simulated giving oral sex to a microphone before thousands of people at a rally, did you feel the same sympathy for him that you felt for Biden during his debate performance?

How could Trump’s inner circle or immediate family have allowed him to repeatedly take the stage? It’s pretty obvious that the poor man is not well.
