Well they won't be able to say he wasn't at the beach party since it is plastered all over his calendar in huge writing. Guess they screwed the pooch by presenting the calendar.

Like I mentioned to Doctor Steuss I don't think that's their play. I think this puts the onus back on Accuser #1, to fix a date to the alleged assault, and then to provide details that corroborate her whereabouts and alleged witnesses. I mean, there's always a chance she can drop a bombshell during her testimony tomorrow, but that remains to be seen (probably depending on the agreed upon line of questioning). I think the problem with Accuser #3 she allegedly attended 10 of these parties where purported gang rapes, or drugging girls, or whatever took place, but who knows who purportedly did what and when.

Accuser#3's big win in this is to get a GOP Senator to break ranks and to call for an FBI investigation that could probably address questions like:

Why did she stand by while people were raped?
Proof that rape occurred at any of these parties?
Who are additional witnesses to these alleged said gang rapes.
Who are the boys that allegedly participated in gang rapes, and can criminal charges be filed?
Etc...

The FBI could probably interview the 60-whatever people who put out a letter today stating none of them ever heard of Accuser #3.

This could probably get them through November (this is one of the reasons why I mentioned earlier in the thread that an FBI investigation would most likely run into the months, which at this point I'm pretty confident would be the case).

What you also fail to register, is that Republicans like Sasse and Collins don't want a majority. Losing the senate is precisely what they hope for.

Senator Sasse of Nebraska is one of the most conservative Republicans in the Senate. Link

I don't believe that Judge Kavanaugh will get confirmed to the Supreme Court. I believe that Senators Collins and Murkowski along with all the Democrats will not vote to confirm him. I could be wrong, but we will see.

As you'd expect, there's now a ton of witnesses from Kavanaugh's college days coming out contradicting Kavanaugh's fervent denials about his hard-partying ways. Why Kavanaugh would lie about that when he is currently in a credibility battle is beyond me. He just might have too much Trump in him.

It would seem, based on that, that Kavanaugh is inadvertently doing more than anyone else to erode away his own credibility. But these are not normal times. We have the example of a President who is demonstrably a pathological liar, yet that doen't seem to faze his hard core base no matter how many times he is shown to have lied. Perhaps Kavanaugh is inspired and heartened by Trump's example and figures that if Trump can continue to get away with that, why not him? As I indicated earlier, it appears that willingness to lie determinedly and convincingly in the face of even the strongest contrary evidence is more highly valued nowadays than honesty and integrity, especially by Trump and those GOPs who support him.

Because those complaints are backed by actual evidence and details - and the grown man isn't complaining only to a senator that wants only to reveal the complaint when politically convenient.
