No, not really. A lot of people live only worried about what other people think about them so they care more about what they look like, what they drive, who they date, money and etc. Never really taking the time to explore who they really are. I think people who live inside their own head aren't scared to explore who they really are and don't care to much about what other people think of them.

These are people whose immune systems work properly due to adequate time outdoors, a protestant work ethic, and optimistic beliefs.
Or perhaps people who aren't perpetually so afraid of their own death that it stops them from having much of a life.
And when the Confederates saw Jackson standing fearless like a stonewall, the army of Northern Virginia took courage and drove the federal army off their land.

But what you describe is someone living inside their own head. If they walk around worried about what they believe someone else thinks about them - regardless of what that might be - then they’re constructing and responding to their own assumptions and/or perceptions. Conversely, if they explore and develop themselves, the same occurs. You can’t escape it either way, right?

If I walk into a forest with my developer friend, and I see a place of solitude and restfulness - while my friend sees a great spot to build 130 condominiums - we both process our expected realities partially dependent upon what ‘is’ independent of ourselves (the forest), and what we perceive ‘is’, as far as how we decide to interpret that physical reality.

Disclaimer - I’m no philosopher, so I’m sure that this could be explained more correctly by smarter folks. : D

Sure, but that’s where the physical reality of the outside world - independent of your own internal constructed reality - decides what it wants to do with you regardless. If the virus is going to kill you, then your own assumptions of your survival chances when you meet up with it are somewhat meaningless.

My apologies, Ajax.

"These are people (the people who don't get sick from Covid or have any reaction to the vaccine) whose immune systems work properly due to adequate time outdoors, a protestant work ethic, and optimistic beliefs, and who aren't perpetually so afraid of their own death that it stops them from having much of a life."
We can't take farmers and take all their people and send them back because they don't have maybe what they're supposed to have. They get rid of some of the people who have been there for 25 years and they work great and then you throw them out and they're replaced by criminals.

I'm beginning to lose my way here ... will somebody who knows Gadianton well tell me whether this and his previous posts are exercises in irony? Maybe rhetorical fly-papers designed to attract the conspiracy minded into outing themselves? I hope so.

His reference to consulting a homeopath in order to remedy a Vitamin D deficiency is a possible clue: Vitamin D supplements are widely prescribed by normal (what homeopaths would call 'allopathic') physicians, and are not in any way homeopathic in their mode of action (no almost infinite dilution, no tapping to 'energise' them and so on). And Vitamin D to counteract 'the tracking devices'? Naaah.

But Lord only knows. There is such a load of sheer bloody nonsense in the heads of a few seemingly intelligent people at the moment that there is just no knowing at times.

I’d go with parody rather than irony.

I know Gad extremely well (He is my neighbor's live-in nanny - I just had a delightful lunch with him last week - tuna on rye) and I can assure you that he is being deadly serious. No irony. None!

Either will do for me! Of course, as Ajax's response and other responses in other threads show, there are those on this board who are completely unable to grasp the concept of either rhetorical tactic.

Which does not speak well for their ability to distinguish sense from nonsense.
