How about this: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=oJDQ6ckZ_gk. This duet with the Norwegian soprano, Sissel and Josh Groban is the most beautiful rendition of The Prayer I have yet heard. Sissel has an amazingly sweet and clear voice that gives me chills of pleasure every time I hear her sing! Josh Groban is no slouch either!
No precept or claim is more likely to be false than one that can only be supported by invoking the claim of Divine authority for it--no matter who or what claims such authority.

I always liked this piece of music. It evokes sympathetic pathos most poignantly: http://www.bing.com/videos/search?q=Pav ... 3AB968D879

Leonard Bernstein, if I may ask.

- To assert that the earth revolves around the sun is as erroneous as to claim that Jesus was not born of a virgin. - Cardinal Bellarmine at the trial of Galilei

Thanks Lugwigm ----my finger must have missed the "O." All fixed now! This may work better for you. And Ludwign, it is worth watching. The song was a HOOT when I was a kid. I think most American boys attempted this song at least once in their childhood in the early 60's. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=iwvlbMU9scs
I also want to add that most of us 50's & early 60's kids saw Charlie Chaplin on the TV. They use to broadcast the old silent movies with music accompaniment. TV was still new and we discovered all the old movies on The Early Show --- I think CBS. And then there were all the old politically incorrect cartoons. Too bad people have become sooooooo thinned skinned. Now only smut is acceptable.

This piece I would have to say is the very first selection of music that I fondly asked my parents about. I was not older than 2 and 3/4 years old, when I first heard this playing from the living room. I was supposed to be sleeping in my bedroom. The next morning I asked "daddy" to play it again. And I sort of hummed the tune. Both my parents were totally taken aback, and my dad said that it was not a record but a radio broadcast. But he later bought a recording. This remains after all these years my most favorite of melodies. It reminds me of the Good Shepherd who takes care of His sheep. Please see http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=rg9Uv0wUZdM
