Do you have factual knowledge that the parade will incorporate President to any degree?

Nope. They're going to do pass and review in D.C. without the Commander in Chief.

I was in Paris in 2007 for Bastille Day. Tanks are nice but so 20th century. Air and sea power are America's strength and not able to even begin to demonstrate on a boulevard.

If you want to honor the veterans, honor the veterans. What this parade will do is create a disruption in resource deployment and unnecessary additional costs which will be borne by the taxpayers. National security and prestige will not be enhanced, only the will of one man will be displayed.

peanuts...

the true parade is when there is a line of the generals - the line is marked:

and now something new from the other korea

SEOUL: Almost all the dog meat restaurants in South Korea's Pyeongchang county, where the Winter Olympics opening ceremony will be held on Friday (Feb 9), have defied a government request to stop serving the food, an official admitted Thursday.

South Koreans are believed to consume about one million dogs a year as a summertime delicacy, with the greasy red meat - which is invariably boiled for tenderness - believed to increase energy.

Activists have stepped up campaigns to ban dog consumption, with online petitions urging boycotts of the 2018 Pyeongchang Winter Olympics over the issue, and protests in Seoul.

Local authorities asked the 12 dog meat restaurants in Pyeongchang county to stop serving the food during the Games, in exchange for subsidies.

But only two have complied, Pyeongchang County government official Lee Yong-bae told AFP.

It's no surprise Drumpf has a fetish for a display of power he had nothing to do with.

Are you prepared to present an argument for a military parade, beyond, "I'm a daft shill for all things Trump and I want whatever he wants"?

No, didn't think so.
