Absolutely have basis, multiple basis-es in fact. Schmo's posts are consistently symptomatic of a juvenile filled with rage whenever he doesn't get his way. Assuming Schmo is an adult, his countless physical threats (given the content of said posts) could easily manifest.

None have been better neighbors to us than the elderly Asian couple immediately to the West of us who recently passed away.

Asians generally don't expect special favors for being Asian and my experience with them has generally been good same as yours. One need only look at the rising number of cases like Rachel Dolezal or Jessica Krug to understand the pendulum has swung way past "equality," a long time ago. You don't see black people trying to pass themselves off as white anymore but we are starting to see more white people trying to pass themselves off as black due to the advantages being black provides.

I certainly had bad neighbors who were white in my time in a monoracial society. The difference is that they were punished and held accountable for their crimes instead being able to play cards like systemic racism, racism etc. to absolve themselves of any personal responsibility. That's why taking race out of the equation was so much better even if the people weren't necessarily much better or worse. So what happens when people start asking to live in separate societies because of this. Well, we can't just call them white separatists because that's actually a lot closer to equality than the current rules of our mixed race society. We have to call them white supremacists so we can label white people who want equality as equal to white people who held blacks as slaves.

I have had Black neighbors who were excellent neighbors too, and I haven't seen any tendency for bad ones to be treated with any more leniency than bad White neighbors. In fact, if anything, the opposite seems to be more often the case. Blacks who move, or try to move into a previously all White neighborhood are typically harassed and treated with suspicion for no reason other than being Black, sometimes even having the police called on them for ordinary activities that would not have caused most other people to even raise an eyebrow. A fairly typical example among many I have read about was an adopted, Black son of a White couple newly moved into a neighborhood, whose new neighbors called the police on him and had him arrested when he was observed to enter his new home by the front door, when both his parents were at work, even though he obviously used a key. His new neighbors had not yet seen him before, and just jumped to the conclusion that because he was Black, he must have been up to no good entering this white couple's house.

And none of the Black neighbors I have had have ever expected, or even hinted at expecting special favors or consideration just because they are Black, or for any other reason. You're just grasping for or trying to invent any excuse you think of to justify remaining a racist.

Gunnar, on a related note - what are your thoughts about city environments that encourage, promote, and even endorse racial/cultural segregation in a seemingly innocuous way? for example, harlem, chinatown, devil's kitchen, little Havana?..etc

We're not killing anyone. We're not stealing anything. We just want out of what has become a perpetually bad relationship. There is nothing immoral about leaving a bad relationship.
