Which "story" about the laptop did it revise, and did you even check? Or did you even check the date of the "revision"? There were many "stories" that were being told about the laptop. We were told it had incriminating evidence and emails proving Joe Biden was on the take with China. We were told it had incriminating evidence proving Hunter Biden was involved in a prostitution ring. The "stories" that the Right pushed so hard were in fact unsubstantiated. But you don't seem to care about legit journalism or what's actually substantiated. You only seem to care about whatever horse crap lies comes from the likes of Giuliani and company.
The story about how it looked like Russian disinformation and the letter from the 51 was debunked. The letter was misleading and put out to help Biden win. Also, Facebook, Twitter, and Google colluded with government to stifle the story as well. The FBI knew all along that it belonged to Hunter Biden and recently the government admitted as much in Federal Court. That is what I am talking about. And if I recall, you went ape****, like you're probably doing now when I suggested the NY Post article had legs and Res called me a Putin puppet. All BS.
But whatever. The laptop belonged to Hunter. CBS authenticated it. But thank whatever it didn't sway the election to Trump otherwise we would have seen a huge meltdown from you and other TDS victims.

More gaslighting. What the intelligence community said about the laptop, which the media generally accurately reported, has not been disproven, let alone debunked. Shortly before the presidential election, Trump allies start shopping around copies of a hard drive alleged to be copies of Hunter Biden’s laptop hard drive. Rudy, Trump’s lawyer has one. Rudy has been hobnobbing with pro-Putin politicians trying to dig up dirt — any dirt — on Joe Biden to the extent that the intelligence agencies warned Trump that Rudy might be feeding Trump Russian disinformation.
Rudy shops it around and some media outlets are skeptical because the provenance of Rudy’s material is sketchy. Rudy got it from a legally blind computer repair man, etc. And, although Rudy had provided several handpicked items from the thousands of documents on his copy of the drive, he would not anyone examine his copy of the hard drive.
Where was the actual laptop? The repair guy had given it to the FBI weeks or months before.
That’s what looked like a Russian intelligence operation. Rudy Guiliani, who had been sucking up to pro-Russian politicians and Oligarchs, suddenly pops up with a copy of evidence in a criminal investigation by the FBI that he won’t let the press examine, while waving around cherry picked documents to claim that Joe Biden was on the take with Ukraine and China.
No can “debunk” what the intelligence agencies said: be careful because this looks like Russian disinformation campaign. Because that’s what it looked like.
You keeping trying to gaslight us by saying “the laptop wasn’t fake” or the “the documents weren’t fake.” Both miss the point. What was fake was the claims Rudy and Trump and Trump’s enablers were making that the laptop proved that Joe Biden was on the take. And the timing of Rudy’s selective release of documents, combined with the FBI’s possession of the original laptop, meant that The Trump team could say almost anything they wanted because there was simply no time or ability to verify anything about the laptop before the election.

What’s actually been debunked is that Joe Biden has been bought by Russia or China. The FBI had the laptop. They used some of its documents to charge Hunter Biden with lying on an application to buy a gun. They didn’t charge either Hunter or Joe with any corruption related activities. The Relief Society in Congress investigated the hell out of its claims that Joe Biden was the corruptest person in the history of corruption and came up with zippo. The documents didn’t show what Rudy had claimed they showed. The string of promised Bomb shell witnesses were all duds, with the last in the string being an informant that unquestionably lied to his US contacts and was feeding them information from Russian intelligence.
In the meantime, there has been no investigation into what role, if any, Russian intelligence played in Rudy’s October surprise. Vindman, who had been one of Rudy’s little helpers in his smear Biden intelligence gathering, testified that he had been told some time before that Russian intelligence had obtained a copy of Hunter Biden’s laptop. Has this ever been investigated.
The FBI authenticated the documents that it needs to use at trial. But, other than comparing the documents on the laptop hard drive to the online backups with Apple, there has not been any attempt to determine whether the laptop’s contents were tampered with. Both Hunter and the alleged author of an e-mail found on the laptop testified to Congress that the e-mail was not genuine. There is a weird flurry of activity that happened on the laptop while Hunter was receiving treatment for addiction at a ketamine treatment try by a frequent guest on Fox News that appears to have been initiated by the appleID Hunter set up for communicating with Russian hookers.
Look, there is pretty overwhelming evidence that Russian intelligence has a an ongoing campaign to destabilize western democracies. The only “Russian Hoax” is the ongoing attempt by you and others to flat out deny the evidence.
