That explains one of my frustration and why I've begun to speak harshly towards the board members.

Hound, remember that these posts all still exist and can be read by anyone. Most of them contain weird exaggerations or accusations. Additionally, no one else’s behavior forces you to do anything. Your posts and reactions are always a product of your intent and self-control.

Res Ipsa explained that to you a while ago.

What I said might not have been clear enough. What I meant was let's try something new, let's go crazy with compliments in our posts to each other and see if the board notices. That way, when someone actually asks what's going on, you or I could say, "As everyone can see, it's not that hard to be nice to everyone if you put in a little effort while you're writing post." I was trying to spark a conversation on the board so positive change can be talked about.
Here's the thing: you might have clarified that you were not willing to arrive at a mutually agreeable compact on this, but instead you said nothing, leaving me with the impression that my offer to be more civil was acceptable to you. Then, you carry on in this strange notion that your silence somehow clearly indicated to the person on the other end that it was your way or the highway, and too bad I didn't agree to do exactly as you suggested.

You must be an interesting and unpredictable person to have a friendship with. Challenging even.

Alright, I'm finished with this thread. I find it challenging to proceed with proposing positive changes that I believe would benefit the board, especially when a specific moderator criticizes my suggestions each time I present them. I attempted to engage in a constructive discussion, but Canpakes seems unwilling to permit any scenario that could be advantageous for the board to unfold, as it appears he feels a loss of control. I believe this because he relocated two months of my posts from paradise to prison, and then a week later, they were returned to their rightful place.

Once more, I endeavored to ignite change. I put in the effort. However, when a moderator is too ignorant to permit board members to engage in discussions about past board history in hopes of fostering a positive outcome, there seems to be little motivation to invest any effort.

I was truly disturbed when Cam referred to Ajax18 as a literal Nazi about two weeks ago. I was quite upset when my posts were moved and then moved back, presumably because another moderator believed that moving them was an error. I am prepared to treat other posters with more kindness and refrain from insults, but there needs to be a shift when one or two individuals have been permitted for years to label certain people as literal Nazis.
Why exactly was that disturbing to you? Ajax18 is a Nazi handle. He chose it. He was just lamenting, yesterday, that Hitler might have prevailed if he had only remained true to Christianity. That clearly indicates he wanted Hitler to succeed. So, at the very least, we can say that calling him a Nazi should only offend him if he is completely oblivious of the very open fact that he identifies with, and chooses to identify with, Hitler and the Nazis.

Well, thank goodness. You were only here to hijack it anyway. The topic of this thread was the problem with AI posters, not Hound's disingenuous efforts to depict his trolling as some kind of virtuous activism in the interest of better communication.

His posts and reactions are the product of ChatGPT. It’s clear as day. I thought AI-posting was banned?

The board is not safe. A better ban is the next step. I think though, you should give it a name when you ban any form of speech. Maybe call the ban "The Iron Dome" if you want to pretend you’re protecting women and children and vulnerable people. Or make it the "The Stephen Hawking–Jimmy Kimmel Ban" — because typing with technology or joking at the wrong target is a real threat to our democracy and a message board. Or take a more literal approach and call it "The WordPerfect–Trump Ban". Hell, maybe we should have a Spellchecker Ban — cont have the machines catching your typos for you. That would be a threat. And while you’re at it, let’s set the new rule: everyone must create their own emojis. Use someone else’s emoji? Jail. Straight to jail. Ban autocorrect from the forum features now. Please. I am so scared.

The one thing you definitely don’t want is a conversation that makes people authentic and real. A ban is always better than solving the problem. And of course, the best person to enforce it would be someone who’s really good at violating it.

That is your interpretation of that? Victim much? Selfish much?

Students and Administration: "Hey, we think that an authentic conversation would prompt authentic participation."

Tenured Victim: "Oh, so now you think you're like what some religions believe is...... hey, I am about to say something offensive but I need to say it...... you think you are 'god'"?

Students and Administration: "No, we think that an authentic conversation would prompt authentic participation."
