I spotted someone who pretends that this discussion is unimportant, yet felt that it was important enough to post within it about it being unimportant. : D

No. Kish. I specifically don't want you to imagine what I weight presidential documents equally with this thread. Neither did I say anything that could have meant that those things were weighted equally.Kishkumen wrote: ↑Sat Sep 27, 2025 1:31 pmThe interesting thing about communicating through this board is that people must rely on what you write to figure out what you mean. So, no, we don't have an 8 ball, and, if we had one, it would do no good. You, on the other hand, want your reader to imagine what you must have really meant, which, judging by our experience reading your caustic drivel lo these many years, can certainly not be anything that looks consistent with your posting tendencies if it makes you look bad.
I always look bad.

A reminder:
“Fascism is a far-right, authoritarian, and ultranationalist political ideology defined by a dictatorial leader, strict social and economic control, suppression of opposition, and an intense focus on national or racial unity.”
A comparison:
The attitude expressed by Trump echoes ‘an intense focus on national or racial unity’.
I’m hoping that either Ceeboo or Whiskey can tell us why the comparison to fascism is interpreted as offensive.

A comparison:
Trump wrote: “They let — I think the real number is 15, 16 million people into our country. When they do that, we got a lot of work to do. They’re poisoning the blood of our country,” Trump told the crowd at a rally in New Hampshire. “That’s what they’ve done.”
Biden’s first choice seems accurate inasmuch as concern over Trump’s statement is ignored by MAGA fans; the statement itself is accepted and even celebrated by some.Biden wrote: “What we’re seeing now is either the beginning or the death knell of an extreme MAGA philosophy. It’s not just Trump. it’s the entire philosophy that underpins the – I’m going to say something: It’s like semi-fascism.”

Whiskey is just a crap-stirrer. He is best ignored, I know.

Exactly this. No commitment must be made, so that the reader must try to suss out the point on their own.Kishkumen wrote: ↑Sat Sep 27, 2025 1:31 pmThe interesting thing about communicating through this board is that people must rely on what you write to figure out what you mean. It’s a cowardly and disingenuous style of conversation.

Sure, Whiskey. When you write dumb stuff, you can't have written dumb stuff. We need to flip a switch in our minds that turns your stupid crap into intelligent posting.
Here's the thing. I know you are intelligent. The problem is that you are intemperate and feel you have to post the first damn thing that comes to your mind without considering how it looks on the screen.

Yeah, he is engaged in anti-conversation. It is essentially garbage. We have been down this path with him many times, and he has been reduced to posting in a restricted forum in the past because he litters and destroys discussions with his guerrilla posting style. For some reason, he is being allowed to return time and time again under a new moniker to engage in the same nonsense at the same cost. The board never learns. "Let's give him just ONE MORE CHANCE!"

I believe the issue is that I don’t cave to unsubstantiated claims or your conclusions based on imagination. Disagreement with your ideology is unsettling to you, but it is allowed. Or isn’t it?

Re: Full Reichstag Fire
The correct word is "terrorist" and it's chosen for a reason. The word "terrorist" is all over legal documents, like "communism" on steroids. Oppenheimer himself lost his security clearance because of his ties to the "communist party". That of course had nothing to do with ties to the Soviet Union, it was essentially a "pro-worker" American party.Whiskey wrote:So Important that these fascists and terrorists have these labels so much.
Now, this first stuck in my mind when I flew back into the US in the early 00's and I had to sign a paper, even as a US citizen, attesting that I was not a terrorist. Don't worry Whiskey, it wasn't just me they singled out, everyone in the line had to. I laughed at it -- why ask stupid things that nobody is going to ever admit to? So I picked up on things related to this in the future. It's a legal trap to make legal decisions easier. It's hard to prove somebody really is a "communist" but if their employment stipulates they ties to communism, and then they literally once got together with a bunch of other pro-workers who called themselves "communists" then that's much easier to prove.
In immigration, various forms may ask if you are a terrorist and I think I recall it on a security clearance application I filled out in 00s. Obviously, nobody is going to answer "yes". So why ask such a stupid question? Because if you get involved in a group later on that's considered extreme, it makes prosecution much easier. You don't have to prove the person committed a crime, only that they didn't fill out their paperwork properly. That invalidates the paperwork.
So obviously, this administration wants ANTIFA -- something that doesn't even exist -- and whatever else, including "anti-fascism" to be considered terrorism, because then anybody either in the immigration process or in certain federal jobs, or with security clearances, or works for a private company that contracts with the government, or receives government benefits or...who knows how long the list is, vulnerable to prosecution or losing a benefit with a much lower standard of evidence than would otherwise exist. Example: oh, on your student visa you said you weren't a terrorist. Yet you showed up this rally, and somebody marching in front of you held an ANTIFA sign, ANTIFA is declared by executive order to be a terrorist organization, and therefore you filled out the form wrong, and thus it is invalidated, and so now you have to go.

I think every non-MAGAhead here is pretty aware that your use of the term "ideology" is interchangeable with "anti-Trump."
