There was a compulsion to keep going with even more data points.
I genuinely believe Ajax is much more intelligent than I am. Which is why my frustrations inevitably bleed into my posts, and I get much more spicy than is needed. He's either being malignantly dishonest in order to virtue signal his unwavering adherence to the MAGA tribal identity, or he's making the constant, active, and conscious choice to not put forth any semblance of cognitive effort when it comes to MAGA talking points.
I don't get it. There are some pretty brilliant conservatives out there who haven't sacrificed their ethics and cognition to MAGA (Thomas Massie comes to mind). I don't understand why Ajax chooses MAGA loyalty at the expense of his own intellect.
The only politicians who did worse damage to the economy than the US Democrats were leftist politicians in Europe, Australia, China, Russia, Latin America and pretty much the entire western world.

This is how stupid and stubborn you are:
I presume that the reference in the text shown to 'destroying the global economy by striking oil (read more)" was abbreviated from "destroying the global economy by striking oil exporting countries in the region", or something similar.
Amirite?
In any case the point remains: Trump's personal ignorance and his preference for being advised by a tight group of sycophantic yes-people meant that this very, very obvious point never crossed what we may call his mind.
And he is commander in chief of what still is, for the moment, the world's most powerful military machine.
How do you feel about all that, ajax18?
Maksutov:
That's the problem with this supernatural stuff, it doesn't really solve anything. It's a placeholder for ignorance.
Mayan Elephant:
Not only have I denounced the Big Lie, I have denounced the Big lie big lie.
To recap the recent hearings from the past few days:
- There was no imminent threat from Iran.
- They had no nuclear weapon capabilities.
- They were nowhere near obtaining nuclear weapon capabilities.
- They agreed to turn over all of their enriched Uranian in negotiations, 36 hours before Trump started his tantrum.
In related news (as Trump now wants another $200 Billion for the war that totes isn't a war), the national debt has now surpassed $39 trillion. When Trump took office the first time, the debt was $19.9 trillion. Pete Sessions liked to call Obama the "$20 Trillion Man." Curiously, he's very silent right now about the orange squishmallow.
