I'd heard all of those comments when they were first reported, and every time, I thought, Well that's an understatement. Of course he's a fu-cking moron.Jersey Girl wrote: ↑Sat Aug 15, 2020 8:24 amHoly crap this one's good. Lincoln Project.

Re: Biden vs. Trump
I'm struck this morning with just how stupid the Birther thing used on Harris really is. I mean, it wasn't that great against Obama. This is as nakedly transparent as it gets, so there are really only two explanations for it:
- Trump is an idiot
- Trump believes his base are idiots
Seems clear both things are true. It's remarkable just how stupid these people are. Incredible.

Re: Biden vs. Trump
Trump even tried the birther thing on Ted Cruz! See: Donald Trump Goes 'Birther' On Ted Cruz : NPR
ETA: Between Obama, Kamala Harris and Ted Cruz, the birther claim against Cruz was the strongest, because he was the only one of the three who actually wasn't born within the borders of the USA!
Truth is almost completely irrelevant to Trump. The only thing that matters to him is what he thinks can be turned to benefit himself.First Donald Trump took aim at rival Ted Cruz's evangelical credentials. Now he's questioning whether the Canadian-born Texas senator is even eligible for the White House.
"Republicans are going to have to ask themselves the question: 'Do we want a candidate who could be tied up in court for two years?' That'd be a big problem," Trump said of Cruz's birthplace and citizenship in an interview with the Washington Post. "It'd be a very precarious one for Republicans because he'd be running and the courts may take a long time to make a decision. You don't want to be running and have that kind of thing over your head."

No precept or claim is more likely to be false than one that can only be supported by invoking the claim of Divine authority for it--no matter who or what claims such authority.

Re: Biden vs. Trump
Trump's younger brother just died. Of all the Trump siblings to die, it had to be one that didn't matter?

Re: Biden vs. Trump
This raises an interesting question. Would things get worse, or better, if Trump were to die before the election? Some Schmo wrote: ↑Sun Aug 16, 2020 3:31 amTrump's younger brother just died. Of all the Trump siblings to die, it had to be one that didn't matter?

What about if Biden kicked the bucket before the election?

Re: Biden vs. Trump
I see no downside to Trump's death. All it does is solve problems. I can't think of anyone who wouldn't be better off without him (anyone that matters, anyway).
That's more interesting. I'm really not sure. What about if Biden kicked the bucket before the election?

Re: Biden vs. Trump
Does anyone think or know if when we vote in a Presidential election that data is compiled that indicates if you voted for a Presidential candidate that is not running for the party you're registered with? I've done that many times regardless of what party I was registered with/as but never have thought of asking if that information is actually collected, compiled or used as an actual indicator if folks are voting outside their own party. In other words, voting trends.
Any ideas about that?

Holy crap. The DNC resurrected Buffalo Springfield's "For what it's worth" and 75 year old Stephen Stills with it.

Apparently Randy Rainbow is a fan of Kamala Harris. Check out this musical parody, sung to the tune of Camelot.
