I'll tell you what I do actually hate, though: BS. I can't think of anything else in human culture I despise more than the propagation of BS. This idea that " Trump is no different because all politicians lie" is thinly veiled BS, because it makes it sound as though all politicians lie the same way. People who say this kind of thing don't really think as much as they mentally masturbate.

There is a huge difference between telling a plausible lie and an obvious fabrication. Most politicians tell plausible lies. All Trump does is pure fabrication. To equate the two is to have your head up your ass so far, you can't hear the lies well enough to tell the difference.

I have known and appreciated Some Schmo's posts for a long time, and if you think he possesses an internal hatred for life, you don't understand him at all. He has much more real respect and honest appreciation for life than any of the hard right anti-abortionists who refuse to lift a finger to help provide for and protect all the children they insist must be carried to term, after they are no longer in the womb. There are very good reasons to minimize the number of abortions, and the decision to abort should never be taken lightly or frivolously, but I'm convinced there really are situations when abortion is the lesser evil of the available alternatives. That decision primarily belongs to the woman and her doctor. I consider myself both pro-choice and pro-life and don't find any inherent contradiction in that. I highly resent the implication that pro-choice is necessarily equivalent to anti-life. Surely the best way to minimize abortions is to prevent unwanted pregnancy in the first place. That is why it is so stupid to oppose, let alone outlaw, using or teaching about contraceptives and how to use them.

The main problem I have with it was the thought that Trump, of all damned people, was the solution to Washington's problems. Does anyone really think the solution to "a giant kiddy pool filled with turds" is a grenade? If your dishwasher has broken down or your roof is leaking, do you solve that issue by burning your house down?

If the US government is so bad, the same government of the so-called "greatest country on Earth," does that mean we're lying when we claim that? If we want to destroy our government, clearly, we don't think this country is so great any more, wouldn't you say? I mean, if we valued this country, we'd try to fix it, not destroy it.
