The odds that Barr/the Senate is going to announce some new shocking development into some investigation of Biden that the media will credulously run with days before the election seems decent. No matter who Democrats run, it's going to be something.

Maybe I'm just misunderstanding what that criticism would entail. If its just "Hey look at what your son did with Burisma" then that seems like a slam dunk for Biden. I think everyone is already burnt out on the "investigations" gambit. If the Senate pulled that right before the election I doubt that would affect anyone other than Trump's base. Fool me once...

As far as Socialism goes, we saw how many people in the South were freaked out about this. Bernie would never win Florida. The Cuban population there is Republican but they'd be dogmatically Republican and who up in record numbers if they knew a Socialist were running.

The Comey letter is the literal reason Clinton lost the election and all that involved is the FBI discovering a cache' of harmless emails that were identical to ones they already had. America was essentially transformed because James Comey is an irresponsible hack who caved to political pressure within his own office and the media treated a non-story like it was Watergate on the eve of election. It doesn't take a lot.

The goal is to create a cloud of distrust and impropriety around Biden through innuendo and insane conspiracy theories so each new development seems like the other shoe is about to drop. This will help neutralize people who want to vote against Trump to vote against corruption and snag some low-info voters.

To that end, the bar for manufacturing something out of nothing is rather low.

Biden gets no such benefit. His team probably should be trying to portray his declining mental and physical vigor as part of is affable gaffe-machine persona.

Trump is sharp, witty, and smart...he just does not have a filter and know when enough is enough..not even close.

Biden might be physically/metally sick...and I appreciate your honesty on that, it is that apparent. We will see.

Bernie has the energy to stay with Trump, I don't know if Biden can hang.

Nope. He's good at making up stupid names for his opponents and getting a laugh out of his supporters for doing so. But so is many a grade school playground bully whipping up a crowd of kids to lay into someone who commits the sin of being 'different'. And because it has previously been unheard of for a President to demean his office in this way, and demean democratic politics by reducing it to sneering abuse, he gets attention.

Dorothy Parker, he ain't.

Trump is the dumbest celebrity in the country and is unable to sustain a coherent series of sentences on any subject. If you worry about Biden, but think Trump is sharp as a tack, you need to engage in some self-reflection.

Watch the video where Trump is being briefed on corona virus, then read the headlines describing what occurred there. Good times.
