All that TDS worked out great for Virginia. The Republicans swept it.

12 more months of Let's Go Brandon and we could hear the biggest flushing sound Washington D.C. has ever seen.
And contrary to the liberal media. Critical race theory was being taught in Virginia public schools. If it critical race theory were not being taught in public schools, Democrats have nothing to worry about when Youngkin says he will ban it from the curriculum.

Virginia’s education department promotes critical race theory — despite claims by Democratic gubernatorial candidate Terry McAuliffe’s the ideology has “never been taught” in the state.

The Virginia Department of Education’s website features a presentation urging teachers to “embrace critical race theory,” Fox News reported.

Education has taken center stage in the closer-than-anticipated contest, as Republican Glenn Youngkin has hammered away on the issue.

McAuliffe has called critical race theory — shorthanded as critical race theory — a “racist dog whistle.”

“It’s not taught in Virginia and it’s never been taught in Virginia,” McAuliffe said recently. “And as I’ve said this a lot, it’s a dog whistle. It’s racial, it’s division and it’s used by Glenn Youngkin and others, it’s the same thing with Trump and the border wall, to divide people. We should not be dividing people in school.”

But City Journal’s Christopher Rufo, an anti-critical race theory writer, tweeted today that he could “debunk that lie.” Rufo shared screenshots in which the state’s education department described critical race theory as a “best practice.”

Youngkin has promised raises for teachers — as well as a ban on critical race theory, according to the Washington Post.

The McAuliffe campaign did not immediately return a request for comment.

And when the Confederates saw Jackson standing fearless like a stonewall, the army of Northern Virginia took courage and drove the federal army off their land.

It's too bad the Democratic Fraud Machine apparently isn't powerful enough to preserve the Gov, Lt Gov, AG or House of Delegates. It only works on the Presidency.

On a more serious note. Exit polling is indicative of the problem for McAuliffe, under performed in suburbs, under performed with college educated. An interesting not, McAuliffe actually did fairly well with the "somewhat disapprove of Biden" group which suggests that local issues really was a driving factor. Economy and Education as the most important issues represented some 55 to 60% depending on the poll and Youngkin took the majority of those.

Ya know, that made up one that led posters here to suggest Youngkin had to win by 5 to beat the fraud or that a Camry full of votes was on the way. The one that led 16% of Virginians to suggest the weren't confident in the outcome of the vote with no actual indicators of anything untoward.

As Xeno pointed out, cries of fraud have evaporated as the VA race is wrapping up. It’s actually kind of amazing how throaty they were last night, that Democrats were going to stuff the ballot box with dead people, or double counting, or getting rid of Repub ballots - all the usual stuff. Now? I’m not seeing anything being said about fraud.

Huh. Weird.

Oh, that fraud machine. We still have New Jersey though.

With the exception of recounting the Fairfax votes, it seems like the VA count and election followed a regular schedule. As long as people remember hundreds of thousands of ballots being delivered and counted under cover of darkness, the suspicions will linger and the bitching and moaning and posturing will be loud. I think that is here to stay, at least for a while.

I am surprised that the number is that low. I would have predicted it to be much higher. That is progress, in my opinion.

Fair enough. For additional context, only 47% were very confident and 35% were somewhat confident(That was CNN exit poll but others are nearly identical) . I'd hope the "very confident" would be much higher.

Oh I wouldn't doubt there wasn't still fraud going on. Sadly, Youngkins victory means nothing as the legislature is still controlled by far left Democrats. Republicans replacing the Loudon County school board and district attorney that insisted on arresting and jailing Scott Smith for stating that his daughter was raped by a gender fluid boy in a skirt in the girls bathroom, would be a far more meaningful victory. But that's never going to happen. Secession is still the only way to really stop this.
