I like In Your Room 'cause it's a naughty song! ;)

That's funny, Gaz! Too bad you tossed it! haha!

I don't care if there are reposts, either. I just thought it was a bit humorous that both of them came from page 9!

I heard this song in the car this afternoon and thought I'd share.

The video is old and the sound is not the best, but it's not awful, either.

Bad Company had alot of really great songs, and Paul Rogers is considered one of the greatest lead singers of all times on anyones best of list. They have alot more great songs than just the few we've both listed.

Silver Blue & Gold + Run with the Pack - http://youtube.com/watch?v=Gs6LfHXOSxU

Shooting Star - http://youtube.com/watch?v=HLbAwTLSg2M

They got a new lead singer in 1990, and I used to love this song....

I went and saw Paul Rodgers with the Firm in concert in Omaha, Nebraska back in '80-something. My date was Patti Westfall. Now there is a good memory.

Patti was incredible. The Firm was average.

I knew this song, but never knew who the band was or who sang it! Thanks for the heads up!

Today, I'll post a sad song for everyone. Someone once shared this song with me when they were feeling sad.

It's good for when you want to wallow in your sorrow for a bit. ;)

Joseph Arthur's Even though (But I call the song Sad Pig. You'll see why. The video is very touching for some reason...)

PS - Here are the lyrics. I think they're good.

I'm getting cold
You used to have a heart
Now I guess its just a stone
You said Leave Me Alone
But even though I'm here
You know that I'm already gone

Gone, baby
Even though I'm here you know that I'm already gone
Gone, baby
Even though I'm here you know that I'm already gone

We've got some time
So lets walk hand in hand together
And hold our heads up high
Since I can't read your mind
You've got to tell me what you're thinking
I won't write in the sky
I won't write in the sky

We're getting old
We've planted our seeds and now we wait for them to grow
You said I'll never show
You how I really feel or which way I'm gonna go

Gone, baby
Even though I'm here you know that I'm already gone
Gone, baby
Even though I'm here you know that I'm already gone

We've got some time
So lets walk hand in hand together
And hold our heads up high
Since I can't read your mind
You've got to tell me what you're thinking
I won't write in the sky
I won't write in the sky

No one to hold
The world will make a dream
And a prayer out of our bones
To find where we belong
Our shadows will remain
Even after we are gone

Gone, baby
Even though I'm here you know that I'm already gone
Gone, baby
Even though I'm here you know that I'm already gone

I never heard of this guy before Kim, thanks for sharing! I like his voice and style.

A pig in a motel room with a sequin bikini wearing woman drinking alcohol to relieve himself of his heavy mind...... an image that will stay with me I think.

Yesterday's song was sad. Today's song choice is angry.

Here's one of my favorite angry songs. It's effective, at least for me.

Alice in Chains: Man in the Box.

http://youtube.com/watch?v=ZFWkPVHKwCY

I'm the man in the box
Buried in my pit
Wont you come and save me, save me

Chorus:
Feed my eyes, can you sew them shut?
Jesus Christ, deny your maker
He who tries, will be wasted
Feed my eyes now you've sewn them shut

I'm the dog who gets beat
Shove my nose in crap
Won't you come and save me, save me

Alice in Chains were a great band. The lead singers death is enough to rip your heart out. Everyone tried to help him, but he allowed heroin to take complete control of his life. After everyone abandoned him because he refused their help, he died alone in his apartment with a needle in his arm. He was found by his accountant who had noticed that his bank account had had no activity. He had the door forced open and found him inside. Relatives stated that before then he had begun to lose his teeth becuase they had started falling out on their own and that he had the appearance of an auchewitz victim.

The band has since found a new lead singer, but has not yet reclaimed its spot as a hit making group.

Gaz, that is a sad story! I didn't know that about their lead singer. What a tragedy for him and his family.
