I'd have many hours of reading to do before I'd feel comfortable giving an opinion n the Afghan situation, but I did notice the germ of an interesting thought on a Q resource. Hasn't Trump secretly been in control of the military all along?Doc Cam wrote:Well. In my average guy after the fact 20/40 hindsight opinion the best outcome would've happened during Trump’s presidency. Had he executed the withdrawal his fanbase would’ve supported it instead of trying to use it to bash Libs, and the Democrats would’ve offered up a tepid criticism for the most part - most Democrats afaia didn’t want a military presence there anyway.

Re: Afghanistan
We can't take farmers and take all their people and send them back because they don't have maybe what they're supposed to have. They get rid of some of the people who have been there for 25 years and they work great and then you throw them out and they're replaced by criminals.

No, it’s not. There are no details given. No plan explained. All that’s there is a claim that they ‘would have done it better’.
Kind of like their plans for the vaccine distribution, and healthcare, and infrastructure. We know how those turned out.

To those Republicans falling over themselves to blame Biden for ending operations in Afghanistan, good news-- the guy responsible already admitted it:

Obama promised to close down Gitmo. Now some of those he released from Gitmo are leading the new regime.Doctor CamNC4Me wrote: ↑Tue Aug 17, 2021 2:23 am$10 he links and runs to Pillow Guy’s presentation.

At least we have our deserters back home and safe more than likely pulling a check.
And when the Confederates saw Jackson standing fearless like a stonewall, the army of Northern Virginia took courage and drove the federal army off their land.

Re: Afghanistan
I thought you had gotten over this nonsense about the last election being rigged and stolen from Trump. I am deeply disappointed in you that you still buy into this collosally stupid and malicious and purely self-serving lie by Trump. More than 60 cases filed by Trump and his lawyers were rejected even by conservative, including Trump appointed, judges, often with extreme prejudice. Trump's lawyers who defended these these cases on Trump's behalf are legitimately in serious danger of punitive sanctions, up to and including disbarment, because of the frivolity, incompetence and outright dishonesty of their presentations. The only reason that you and a high percentage of Republican voters believe the election was stolen is because Trump carefully and persistently preconditioned you for months to gullibly accept, without any credible evidence whatsoever, that the only way he could lose was if the election was somehow unfairly rigged against him. In fact, all the attempts to "rig" the election (which failed, just barely, thank goodness) were perpetrated by Republican voter voter suppression efforts.ajax18 wrote: ↑Tue Aug 17, 2021 1:47 amWe fought an extraordinarily costly war in money and lives to stop the spread of global communism and preserve a free market economy only to have communism rise to power in the US itself through democratic (albeit rigged) elections. So? This has been true for quite some time now.
Even Trump's former lapdog, William Barr admitted that there was no evidence of fraud that would justify negating the election. Mitch McConnell, the former Senate Majority leader, also acknowledged that Biden won freely and fairly, and that Trump's claim that the election was stolen from him was a gargantuan lie.
The recent 72 hour cyber symposium sponsored by Mike Lindell only embarrassingly imploded on him, with even his own hand-picked cyber expert acknowledging that there was no believable basis for fraud. The few cases of provable election fraud so far uncovered were almost all committed by Republicans on behalf of Trump, and were, besides, not nearly enough to cast legitimate doubt on the accepted election result.
And if you really believe that Biden's election is equivalent to communism rising to power, you understand neither communism nor Democrats.
No precept or claim is more suspect or more likely to be false than one that can only be supported by invoking the claim of Divine authority for it--no matter who or what claims such authority.
