bro, you're asking guy that frames houses to code. Y'all knew what I meant.
O... K ... Let me try it this way.

If you quote me, quote me. Don't change what I write.

If you want to comment on what I wrote, just say what you want to say and have done.

And please don't act like people who work in construction are dumb. They aren't, and you aren't either. So don't act like you are.
To which I reiterate...

Bro, you know what I am saying.
If a Giant's pronouns are "fee, fi, fi, and fum", does that mean short people's pronouns are "oompa, loompa, and doopity-doo"?

I'm not puzzled at all.
You mentioned you were.
It's just that I think it is preferable to make sure that the topic of how animals make more animals (hence how people make more people) just gets covered piecemeal and when occasion arises throughout childhood, rather than being the kind of major event implied by the term 'the birds and bees talk', an event that a parent might decide to initiate at one moment rather than another.
I think you keyed in on "birds and bees" perhaps the same way I keyed on "puzzled." I also think you read more into my story than was there. I wasn't planning on a specific time or age to tell her about sex. I suspected I'd tell her when she was ready. She ended up being ready before I expected, that's all.

So I didn't "decide to initiate" a sex talk with my daughter. She did. She asked me a very specific question so I told her about it. It wasn't a comprehensive discussion of the topic, just the mechanics, really. I thinks it's fair to say that overall, she learned about reproduction in the exact way you described, a little at a time.

I suppose what you read into my story had more to do with the way I was taught about sex. It was an actual event that happened when I was 10. And you are correct; sex always seemed like a big deal after that, until I grew up and put it in perspective.
That way you can ensure the child learns bit by bit all they can understand at any given age, and that they accept it as a natural feature of being human that does not seem in any way 'gross'.
I know a lot of adults who think sex is a bit gross, and I don't really blame them. It seems a bit gross to me too unless I'm "in the mood." Just because something's natural doesn't preclude it from being gross. I think defecating, a natural feature of being human, is gross too. There's little more natural than that.

And some of the things I've heard people are into (sexually) are most certainly gross.
But in any case, from what I can see of your character online, I am sure your daughter's trust in her Dad is deep enough to ensure that any negative feelings passed very quickly.
Thanks. I hope so. I doubt she even remembers the conversation, let alone her reaction.

it seems that we understand each other, which is nice to know. Daughters are an intriguing experience!

Texas lawmakers believe in abortion. They abort all thought when attempting to make laws.
But the voters keep electing them. Hopefully the abortion law helps Democrats make good political moves.

Because Republicans care so much about life and the unborn, they're back to using the racist "anchor baby" slur.

Biden admin was successful in getting a judge to block enforcement of SB8 while it makes it through the courts

Unclear how long the injunction will stay in place as Texas has already filed notice for appeal.

Yeah!! Let's get back to killin as many babies as possible. Abortion is a positive for the world! If we start killin all the babies, then in 30 years or so the population will decrease significantly and global warming will be easier to deal with. Just think, in 80 years there won't be anyone left and the earth we be back to normal. Yes!!! I'm finally starting to become a PROGRESSIVE!!! I say kill em all!! Kill em all for the sake of the earth!! Yeah!!
