Jared and Eric could do a stand up comedy routine.......
You mean like every time they open their mouths in public?
And don't get me started on third young amigo, Ron Jr.
He and his brother Eric are so much like Uday and Qusay it's scary.

A very apt comparison, although Don Jr. and Eric would be much more brutal if they had the power Uday and Qusay were given.

Only one reason: Esper and other Pentagon leaders are not unquestioningly loyal to Trump. They have had the temerity to disagree with and even criticize him on occasion, and are not willing to break the law on his behalf whenever he demands it.
No precept or claim is more suspect or more likely to be false than one that can only be supported by invoking the claim of Divine authority for it--no matter who or what claims such authority.

Because he still can. He is addicted to attention and this is one way he can get his fix. Don't forget that "Your fired!" made him millions once upon a time.

Given Trump's make-it-up-as-you-go-along style and his abject inability for any kind strategic thinking whatsoever, I believe that we need not be too concerned about what is going on in his ravaged brain. Perhaps he is thinking that if the courts won't help him, then the military might. They won't.

Section 1385 of Title 18 of the United States Code (Posse Comitatus Act*) prevents the military (Coast Guard and National Guard excepted) from interfering in domestic issues, including law enforcement, inside the US (with exceptions for nuclear materials or certain drug enforcement duties - see URL).

Trump fired Mark Esper because Esper expressed doubts about using federal troops to clear civilians off the street by force so Trump could make his infamous walk to church and hold up a Bible backwards. None of Trump's Pentagon appointees will have the lawful right or power to interfere in the election, or in any way delay the transition of power.

Come January 20, 2021, Trump is gone. In the meantime, his bogus lawsuits and other forms of denial, delay and general bad behavior are not likely to gain him anything except an higher COVID 19 body count among the civilian population and a strengthened resolve to prosecute the hell out of him when the time comes.

Best thing is to just ignore him, exactly as Joe Biden is doing. Trump should be treated like a two year old having a tantrum and be ignored until he calms down (which admittedly may be well after January 20).

Give this 5 minutes of your time, guys. They're talking about his attempts at fundraising and why he's doing it.

There are other reasons why Trump is behaving badly aside from the fact that he thinks he can to keep his base in line to support a run for president in 2024. The New York Times points out that Mitch McConnell is supporting Trump's delay tactics as a means of keeping the Republican voters in Georgia riled up and focussed on the upcoming senatorial run-off race on January 5th. Stacey Abrams, who lost her bid for Governor of Georgia to voter suppressor Brain Kemp in 2018, and got revenge by flipping Georgia for Biden, agrees. Democratic wins in both races would mean that Republicans lose control of the Senate.

In other news, Utah Mormons did not support Trump in 2020 to the extent anticipated, which was a nominal 70%. Exit polling indicated that the actual percentage was closer to 58%. Commentators account the shift to the less conservative bent of younger Mormons.
