When I get bored, I'll play some Guitar Hero World Tour. Then I'll watch a bunch of episodes of It's Always Sunny In Philadelphia. Charlie makes me laugh. Then I'll sleep for a while. My clothes smell like Subway. Dammit.

This weekend will be devoted to Gears of War 2. Hoorah.

Awesome. It looks pretty great. I'll be playing Resistance 2 this weekend. I'll pick up the new Gears of War when I finish Resistance and Dead Space. Let me know if you ever plunk down the $50 for an Xbox Live account.

So, I finished Dead Space and I loved it. A great game. Now I'm working my way through Resistance 2. I'm trying to finish the single player campaign before I take it online. My favorite weapon in the game is the Magnum handgun. It fires explosive rounds. You shoot with the R1 button and then trigger the explosion with the R2 button. Pretty cool.

Steuss: Did you end up getting GOW2? If so, how is it? I still need to pick it up.

Yeah. It took my friend and I two Friday nights to beat it (1st Friday played from 6:00PM-3:15AM, 2nd Friday we started around 5:00PM and finished it around 9:30PM). Normally we can beat a game in one night, so I guess it’s groovy that this one lasted us two.

I don’t know if there’s such a things as a game spoiler, but if there is, stop reading… two things I liked about #2 is that there wasn’t the little “keep out of the darkness” junk, and it also didn’t have those berserker dudes. If you get it, don’t waste your money on the special edition (which gives you two guns). The guns are just blinged out versions of existing guns (nothing special). We didn’t try any of the online stuff, but it looks like it has a lot of Halo-ish games (capture the flag, team slayer, etc.).

All-in-all, I found it more enjoyable than #1, but I don’t foresee it having the same level of replay-ability that games like Rainbow Six Vegas 2 have.

You up for that, Skippy? I'm going to be in Vegas this weekend, harassing Steuss, but I'll be all over the MotorStorm next week.

(Just getting caught up on this thread. . .)

I'm not a huge MotorStorm fan, but the husband tends to get those games. If he does, I'll race with you. So far though, he hasn't mentioned it.

We just got Resistance 2 last week, but I haven't had any luck wresting the controls from the husband. He's been making his way through the single player campaign. So far my participation has been to say "Look out for the furies!" and "Dude, you totally died!" But soon . . .

I finished the single player campaign a few nights ago. I'm going back through it again to pick up some trophies that I missed the first time through. It's a pretty freaking awesome game. I've played a couple of multiplayer matches online, but my brother sent me LBP for my birthday, so I'm working on that right now. I also need to get Gears of War 2 for my 360. Too many games...at least I'll have plenty of time to play them over Thanksgiving.

The quickest way to get into Comic Book Guy voice is by holding down the left bumper for 3 seconds. Since this thread is by default in Comic Book Guy voice, you have push R3 twice to return to normal speaking.

I picked up Gears of War 2 last night. The gameplay is amazing, the graphics are amazing, and the dialogue is amazingly atrocious. Laughably so. It is so amazingly bad that I can't stop laughing during key moments of gameplay. Prior to this game, there has only been one game that has provoked me to tell it to shut the “F” up...Madden. Last night I was pleading with Dom and Tai (especially Tai) to shut the “F” up. And then there's that cowboy dude. Amazing. I love this game!!

A bunch of cool games have come out since I last posted. I'm almost finished with F.E.A.R. 2. I'm playing it on the PS3. It's much better than the glitchy port of the first game. I really like the slow motion thing where I can run circles around badguys and explode their heads with my automatic shotgun. I also like the level design. The story is supposed to be creepy or scary or whatever, but it's not. I just started Resident Evil 5. I loved Resident Evil 4 for the PS2. This new game is very similar, except you have a constant companion named Sheva. She's kind of like the holy ghost, but better with guns and she doesn't abandon you when you say “F” or if it's after midnight. If she dies while helping you...level over. Resident Evil 5 is all about zombies trying to hatchet you to death or throwing bottles or dynamite at you to explode your flesh. Some of these assholes have chainsaws. These guys are real bastards and they take forever to kill. Sometimes when you shoot off a zombie's heads a big plantlike thing grows out and it keeps coming at you. Wait until it gets real close and then blast it with your shotgun. The only thing I hate about this game is that you can't shoot while moving. Therefore, Dead Space is superior. I also got Killzone 2, but that's on back burner until I finish the two games I'm currently playing.

Is anyone else playing anything that is totally radical?
