Listening to Pence discuss testing capacity. 5.4 million tests done to date and he predicts we'll soon be able to test 2 million people per day.

Wouldn't that take something like 3 years to test the population of the US? Or is my brain totally fried on that?
Nope. Only about a little over half a year, but only if we were able to start at that ‘2 million a day’ rate from the start. That timeline could definitely stretch out to three years if ‘soon’ turns out to be as accurate as many of the other estimates offered by the Administration as of late.

The current US population estimate is just under 330 million folks.

Congress should pass a bill:

- If you're a Trump voter, you don't get your tax refund until you've had a test
- For everyone else, you don't have to pay taxes until you receive a test

Why in the hell did I even post that? I was figuring weeks instead of days.

I seriously fear for what's left of my brain and that's assuming I was once functional to begin with.

There is a difference between tests per day and people tested per day. Most people have at least two samples taken. Each sample is counted as a “test.” If you see someone talking about tests per day and not people tested per day, divide the number by two.

You’re right, RI. But I was also looking at Jersey Girl referring to number of people tested versus number of tests, and I should have caught that.

As far as number of tests - today, Trump is saying that we’ll be up to 5 million tests a day. I’m pretty sure that he’ll be telling us soon how dozens of world leaders call him every day to compliment him and ask him how he does it all.

People have been poisoning themselves by ingesting disinfectants. Disinfectant poisoning was on the rise before Trump made his comments, but leave it to the President to fan the fires. Not sure what political affiliation these folks have, but it's kinda sad if you listen to the President of the United States, you become a candidate for a Darwin Award.

I see it every day multiple times a day. The countries and totals to the left? I hallucinated those under propofol in mid-March.

I'd show you what's on my computer but you'd have to dare me because it's pretty darn obsessive.
