That is pretty funny. Personally, I think it is only good for distinguishing between Antifa and the DNC.

I’ve been holding my breath since Kirk was murdered, sorting through the angry and unhinged rhetoric to look for signs of what the regime would actually do in response. The reflexive stab at intimidating the media was beaten back, largely due to the fact that freedom of speech is such a core value that the FCC’s overreach was a bridge too far for folks like Ted Cruz.

But yesterday’s move is much more serious and will receive much less push back from Republicans because it’s a weapon deployed only at MAGA’s enemies — meaning everyone that is not MAGA.

I recommend that everyone read this Presidential Memo: https://www.whitehouse.gov/presidential ... -violence/

This is full on Reichstag fire: using an incidence of violence as an excuse to crack down on political opponents, including groups dedicated to protecting fundamental civil rights of American citizens. This tactic was not a one-off by Hitler. Issuing violence as a pretext to take away freedom and persecute opponents is typical of authoritarians. A good parallel is what Stalin did with the Kirov assassination. https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Sergei_Kirov

Do not fall for the DARVO that our self-anointed gadflies will inevitably try to cram down our throats. You know, the part where correctly identifying autocracy is a crime, but the autocracy itself is fine and dandy.
Senator John Fetterman wrote: Unchecked extreme rhetoric, like labels as Hitler or fascist, will foment more extreme outcomes.

Political violence is always wrong—no exceptions.

We must all turn the temperature down.
Unfortunately, I don't think there are 3 people in Fetterman's party that agree with Fetterman. Most, like Res, want posts like this to cause the temperature to go up not down.

Looks like the fellow at the top of the heap, with the loudest megaphone, is leading the charge “to cause the temperature to go up not down”.

Look away, Whiskey. ; )

Is Portland now in a state of informal civil war?
You mean “war ravaged Portland.”

Not sure why those who dislike Trump try so hard to be just like Trump. No effing difference between Res and Trump when it comes to this stuff. Different color panties maybe, but other than that, same same same same same same same when it comes to this nonsense.

Your reasoning seems the equivalent of, ‘But did you see what she was wearing?’

Back to the memo. I missed something when I first read the memo. It’s not just a memo — it’s a National Security Memo, which is kind of BFD. It’s an instruction to the National Security Apparatus to turn its attention from known foreign and domestic terror threats to ordinary American citizens.

Next part:

Riots in Los Angeles and Portland reflect a more than 1,000 percent increase in attacks on U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) officers since January 21, 2025, compared to the same period last year. Just yesterday, a shooting targeting an ICE facility in Dallas resulted in multiple casualties. Separate anti-police and “criminal justice” riots have left many people dead and injured and inflicted over $2 billion in property damage nationwide.
There are no riots in Portland.

Maybe the fact that ICE stopped behaving as a normal law enforcement agency and stayed acting like brutal paramilitary gangs as was typical in 1980s El Salvador. Keep in mind that any touching of an ICE agent is portrayed as an assault.

There is no evidence for the alleged deaths and property damage, unless he’s trying to pass 2020 off as 2025.

These claims are a pretext for clamping down on the civil rights of his opponents.

Hasn’t it been alleged that Patriot Front members have been assisting in ICE raids?

And now, this:

This what’s to be expected when one pardons actual terrorists. One of the latest tricks I’ve seen is right wingers posting pictures from 2020 and claiming they are recent. I wouldn’t trust that top photo without verification.

I’ve seen either the tweet you posted or one similar to it. The Proud Boys used to be into pseudo psy-op crap. Frankly, it makes more sense to me that Tarrio is trying to encourage violence against ICE as a “trap.” But that is a major problem with law enforcement cosplaying paramilitary thugs.

Trump has a bug up his ass about Portland because his sending undercover agents to drag people into unmarked vans didn’t go over well. Everything with him is petty.

Can you elaborate on how it didn't go well?
