As you are probably aware, I was mocking the implication that the tweet being written by a woman that was merely reporting a leaked memo from another woman somehow is more credible or insulated from criticisms of sexist bias because it comes from a woman. It's a variation of the "black friend" argument you keep making that doesn't stop being ridiculous. The fact that the GOP operative who wrote the memo was a woman or that the reporter for the Washington Post who reported on the existence of the memo was a woman doesn't matter at all.

For what it is worth, hostile sexism is far better predicted by political affiliation than gender. That is to say, you can better predict if a person is likey to be sexist if you know whether or not they are conservative than if you know whether or not they are a woman. I don't think that memo was motivated by sexism though. It was a just a partisan argument disguised as an independent assessment filled with suspect reasoning and conclusions.

It's worth the read for situational awareness.

Note, I already linked this several pages back, in PDF form, and Kevin responded in the usual fashion. You may have missed those pages.

WD, links to your source for your last long post?

I heard the CNN blip on the radio. Trying to lookup now not seeing anything. I suspect the thousand pages was in reference to the entire report, which includes previous background investigation material. I'm sure there will be some good links coming out.

Here is direct quote from Senator Kennedy, "There were ten witnesses, one declined to talk to the FBI. Five with respect to Dr. Ford’s allegations four with respect to Mrs. Ramirez’s allegations. No corroboration. I really wish you could see this."

Perhaps they will release some details, dunno. I'd be fine with that, it's understandable why they are restricting access the way they are, though. Democrats would leak and try to spin. Note, all of the reports (TV, radio, wherever) are just citing what some Senator who's seen it has said. Obviously.

Oh, and a quote from Orrin Hatch, "How my azz taste, bitchez?" I think that might be satire, I'll let you be the judge.

In case you're wondering why the GOP is maybe a little fired up, perhaps a little something to with this.

A Democratic congressional intern accused of publishing the private information of at least three Republican lawmakers allegedly threatened to leak senators' childrens' health information if a witness told anyone about his activities.

Jackson Cosko, who recently worked as an unpaid intern for Rep. Sheila Jackson Lee, D-Texas, was arrested for allegedly posting the personal information (or "doxxing") of a number of senators including Lindsey Graham, R-S.C., Mike Lee, R-Utah, and Orrin Hatch, R-Utah on Wikipedia -- with information such as their home addresses and phone numbers. Graham, Lee and Hatch's information was published on Thursday.

According to a sworn statement by Capitol Police Captain Jason Bell, a witness Tuesday saw Cosko at a computer in a senator's office, where he used to work, a day after two other unnamed senators' information had been put on Wikipedia. Cosko is then alleged to have walked out, and hours later the witness received an email from "livefreeorpwn@gmail.com" saying: "If you tell anyone I will leak it all. Emails signal conversations gmails. Senators children's health information and social [security numbers].

If revealing their addresses so they can be shot like Steve Scalise wasn't bad enough, they're targeting GOP children? Wow.

GOP gave a pretty fired up press conference and talked about this during that as well. Haven't watched it, heard bits on radio. They are tired of being harassed in the hallways, accosted in elevators, airports, and restaurants, having ricin mailed to their staffers, having protesters break through their office doors and physically assault them. All crap that's gone down in the past week!

Whoops. I totally missed it, which is odd because the thread finally perked up when you started contributing with your viewpoint on the matter.

I'll say this, regarding the Democrats' behavior throughout this affair. It's been off the charts insanity. It's interesting to see both parties have their version of extremists really show their asses lately. I don't expect many here who lean Left to admit it, but we have a serious damned problem in our party, but I'm not sure how we can take it back. I think the crazy horse has left the barn (as evidenced by some of the posts on this forum). Not a good look if you're looking to swing an election or capture a few million key votes in swing states.

Thanks. I also suspect that the thousand pages refers to the whole K file. What was your source on the specific content on interviews re Ramirez.

I think it’s disingenuous to imply that only democrats would leak or spin. Relief Society on the committee have already leaked selective materials, so it’s not like there are any clean hands here.

Doxxing is reprehensible behavior, again not limited to one party. I don’t think Tiller was doxxed by Ds. If the Fox News Report is correct, I hope that they throw the book at the asshole.

Folks who, as you do here, put hyper-partisan spin on everything to whip up outrage are the problem. I’m not surprised that GOP leaders are doing everything they can to outrage and whip up the base. It’s worked in the past. The problem is, it has the distinct possibility of destroying the country.

What have Relief Society leaked re Kavanaugh?

Re Ramirez. This Ramirez allegation is pretty stupid to begin with. Its genesis down to the very allegation itself which isn't even an assault. I personally couldn't care less if 10 people confirmed witnessing that it happened. Drunk kids getting rowdy, a dick makes an appearance, the horror! But they got nothing. Who cares. So dumb.

Appold said that he was “one-hundred-per-cent certain” that he was told that Kavanaugh was the male student who exposed himself to Ramirez.

...

Appold said that he initially asked to remain anonymous because he hoped to make contact first with the classmate who, to the best of his recollection, told him about the party and was an eyewitness to the incident. He said that he had not been able to get any response from that person, despite multiple attempts to do so. The New Yorker reached the classmate, but he said that he had no memory of the incident.

A second hand witness demands to talk to the FBI. This guy didn't even see it. SMH.

Enough.

Oh, now this is funny. For those who haven't followed all of it. So, Nate Silver, who's an idiot prick, who got everything wrong in 2016, tried to use his statistical math to "calculate" Kavanaugh's honesty. He calculated, with 99.99% certainty, that Kavanaugh definitely lied. Hinging, largely, on his calculation that the "Devil's Triangle is a drinking game" was exceptionally unlikely. Ranked among the most unlikely of things Kavanaugh said. So, math proves he's lying, it's definitely not a drinking game... leading to all manner of #PizzaGate grade conspiracies that it's some kind of sex assault cult.

Image

Well, just today, classmates from Georgetown preparation sent a letter explaining the game. And they also dug up a yearbook copy from the guy who invented the game, taking credit for it, in the yearbook.

Any independent who has no political party alliance can see that the right is way damned crazier, as a body politic, than the left. That's just objectively true. Obviously the left has its lunatics, but they barely register in the face of the insanity coming from the right.

The right does stupid crap, lies about the stupid crap and blames the left for the stupid crap they're doing. Some on the left can be loud and obnoxious objecting to it. That's the state we're in.

If we get Drumpf for another 4 years, that's the damned idiot Republicans fault again, just like last time, just like it still is. The GOP likes assholes, because they're assholes.
God belief is for people who don't want to live life on the universe's terms.
