There's a difference between telling someone, "your race matters," setting them up with problematic expectations, and simply acknowledging the fact that where a person is born and who their parents are have a massive influence on their life outcomes. Lol. That was a stretch of subfapsian proportion. Yes, I’m the “type of white” that has worked and continues to work extensively with many races and see how people treat and interact with them. I also own a data/software company that studies hiring habits across many sectors where we factor all kinds of interesting things into our studies of what characteristics increase your likelihood to get hired. I am the “type of white” person that doesn’t live in some white bubble and I’m capable of acknowledging reality without needing to believe in some fantasy world where everyone is treated exactly the same regardless of race. It would be great if we were there but that is not reality.

Well, for the moment, I prefer not to go with 'disingenuous' but rather with 'has a point of view overly based on confusion between common American ideals of what society should be like, and what it is actually like for people who are poor, live in places where the public education is a disgrace, and are members of long-term disadvantaged minorities.'

When however this is combined with an insistence that people should avoid strongly critical language in politics, and basically just be nice to folks, it becomes more of a strain to believe that 'this guy is just a bit naïve.'

It begins to look a little like telling the people who are being dumped on most of their lives to simply keep quiet, be nice, and try not to upset the people who are enjoying great and privileged lives.

Subs, the coward that he is, lives in an area that probably isn't a bubble. Just so I'm tracking you correctly, are you suggesting Whites who vote on the Conservative side live in racial and ethnic bubbles? If you do I think you're mostly correct, but with the caveat that many live in diverse areas, have a relatively diverse set of acquaintances, and vote Conservative for other reasons than they're fearful of poc types. It's akin to assuming Leftists are communists or what have you. As you say, White is a spectrum but we fall into the easy trap of stereotyping them if they don't vote or believe what we believe. I see it a lot on this forum and others.
