Ban Whiskey permanently if that's the only way.

What I find truly amazing is the incredible amount of effort to demonize the use of the word "amazing" as necessarily complimentary of the assassin and his motivation to murder Charlie Kirk. Never in my long life have I ever regarded that word as necessarily complimentary or implying approval. It is entirely possible for something to be amazingly good, bad, stupid, evil, beautiful, ugly, effective, ineffective, constructive or destructive. If canpakes had used any other word to describe the shot, I am convinced that HoH and his compatriots would have worked every bit as hard to define and cast the use of it and by implication canpakes himself in the worst possible light as a despicable and hateful villain.
All HoH is succeeding at proving is his adamant determination to unfairly characterize everything we do and say in the worst and most hateful possible light.
As I and others have said, HoH has an amazing propensity to frequently, inadvertently out himself as a prime example of the very things he so fervently condemns! And if he denies that my use of "amazing" in the last sentence is necessarily complimentary, he will have disproved his own point!

No precept or claim is more suspect or more likely to be false than one that can only be supported by invoking the claim of Divine authority for it--no matter who or what claims such authority.

Although, it was unexpectedly amazing how hard HoH and Whiskey fell for this.

I think AI gave you the incorrect adjective. Best light. Brightest light. Light of day. It looks to me like Hound of Heaven merely offered daylight.

And, as I added, just before your reply, if he denies that your use of "amazing" in your reply is complementary, he will have disproved his own point!

Gunnar, that isn’t logic, it’s you playing with your own toes and calling it philosophy. “If he denies this, he disproves himself!” Lordy, listen to yourself. You’ve built a little Lego trap and declared it airtight.
Nobody said “amazing” can’t be complimentary — the point, which keeps trampling you, is that context gives it weight. Like you point out, canpakes was complimenting the assassin.
Your move isn’t clever, it’s retarded. You’re not doing logic — you’re cosplaying it. And badly. But hey, happy reward: would you like to be on Team Amazing Shot? You know, the apologists who think the shot that killed Charlie Kirk was “amazing”? They’re short a flute player. Time to dust off your best Jethro Tull cover. You think the assassin's shot was amazing, right? I don't. I think that it was depraved.

AI regurgitations. Drawing words from elsewhere in the discussion, recycling them, spitting them back out onto the board. Most normal people without an agenda wouldn't have even noticed canpakes' comment.Gunnar wrote: ↑Wed Sep 17, 2025 6:42 pmWhat I find truly amazing is the incredible amount of effort to demonize the use of the word "amazing" as necessarily complimentary of the assassin and his motivation to murder Charlie Kirk.
