What do women think of porn?

Post by _ajax18 »

I heard something that really turned how I view the world upside down. My sister complained to me that her roommate at the U. of U. watches porn all the time. Her roommate was female of course.

This baffles me. The only things I've ever heard women say about porn has been, "It's disgusting, I hate it, and I hope I never catch my husband with it. I would never watch it." Some people say that's just because I've only talked with LDS women. That explanation doesn't fit all the data for me though.

I've never heard of young LDS girls struggling to detain themselves from viewing pornography. So my question is this. What percentage of women detest porn and what percentage are fine with it and even enjoy watching it occasionally.

Studies have shown that, regardless of what women say, they get just as turned on while watching porn as guys do.

Most women I hang around with are pretty open about porn. Many of my ex's liked to watch it with me while we screwed. It was kindof a fun game to try out everything they were doing on the screen. it also made for a very disappointing revelation -- what porn stars do doesn't feel nearly as good as the plain-old-fashioned stuff. It looks pretty, but that's about it.

It all depends on whether their husbands are watching it or someone else is watching it.
  • If their husbands are watching it, they detest it.
  • If someone else is watching it, their opinions vary widely.
"Finally, for your rather strange idea that miracles are somehow linked to the amount of gay sexual gratification that is taking place would require that primitive Christianity was launched by gay sex, would it not?"

Couldn't agree more. I like the way they do it on the discovery channel personally. Simple, fast and furious.

Women can behave in some "wild and crazy ways" on girl's night out watching male strippers. Perhaps their Holy Madonna other persona becomes shanghaied by the devilish forces of Porn. D'ya think?

I don't know about women in general, but I enjoy porn as much as my boyfriend.

I think part of the reason many women feel threatened by porn is due to body-image issues. They are afraid their partners will think they're not desirable after seeing the porn women.

But hey, I see cellulite on porn ladies frequently. And fake boobs are pretty gross, in my opinion. Given that I have very little, if any, cellulite and real boobs, I'm not bothered.
We hate to seem like we don’t trust every nut with a story, but there’s evidence we can point to, and dance while shouting taunting phrases.

For me, personally, I'm more turned on by reading erotic stories than by film or video. I think more women tend to be this way due to the whole fantasy/left-brained right-brained thing.

Some porn is really funny! The acting is so bad, it's great to laugh at when you have a bunch of girlfriends over.

I don't think watching porn is as much of an addiction issue for women....But how many women do you see reading a Harlequine Romance book or a Sillouette Desire book? (Sillouettes are more racy).

If you want a really dicey read, take a look at Anne Rice's "Sleeping Beauty" trilogy. ;)

1) I doubt any real men or women were exploited in her romance novels.
2) Pictures are harder to ignore than paragraphs made of letters printed in a 10-12pt font.
3) Everyone knows that men are scum with a one-track mind--actually 3 track: sex, food, and sleep.
