I've been sick now for over a week. All I have left is this absolutely awful cough. about every five minutes, I'm coughing up something about the size of two nickles. Not only that, but now mucus is streaming down my face, and even coming OUT MY EYES!

How can one face excrete so much mucus?! How is it possible?! Dear lord, make it stop!

so.... much... mucus.....

I was very sick for about ten days. I hope that your bug clears up in a few days.

Wow, a thread I can actually share a view with keene on.

My wife babysits during the day, and a child she was watching brought this evil cold/flu bug into our home. I've had it for the past week also, and I am also down to the lingering cough/ mucus stage.

don't you love how the Halls Lozenges make your tounge raw and numb?

And in case you didn't know, don't take the cough drops, they don't work, it has to be the lozenges.

Just a couple weeks ago I had so much mucus coming out my nose that I decided to stuff a tissue up my nose. It was just too much to have to blow it every 10 seconds. Fortunately nothing came out my eyes. I had to go through one night without sleep thanks to that bug, but I was lucky that coughing wasn't so much of a problem in my case.

If you guys got a different bug, I'm certainly not looking forward to it.

Try the stomach bug that's going around where I live - it's a blast. I haven't puked so much since i was a drunken teenager.

I've had a cold/flu virus since January 1st, (it was cooking up a week before then).
My colleagues at school say it is set to last 7 weeks. (only about 3 more to go then!)
The papers say it is the type of virus that the body can't be bothered to get rid of, .....that and something to
do with global warming.

Making my head ache though. Sinus' are full to brimming.

Four flu and ibuprofen seem to be doing the trick in managing symptoms!

Hope you feel better soon!!

I had the bug for about 4 weeks. The sinus issues just about drove me insane.

My wife picked it up and decided to go to the Dr. The Dr. gave her a nasal spray Rx that is normally used for allergies but he said that it works really well on the sinus issues and even works to stop the virus a little.

She got over it in a week! I was so jealous.

My dad went and got some after having it for a week and he was feeling better 3 days after he started taking it.

Note: I can't remember the name of the Rx right now. If anyone wants it PM me or post here and I'll try to find it.

And here I thought you were a good Mormon boy growing up. My illusions are shattered! LOL

Seriously, I hope you're feeling better. I'm home with a stomach mess myself.

I wonder if you gave it to me long distance. LOL

I had a rebellious phase my senior year of high school.

There, now all the TBM's can say that's why i'm an apostate now.

Alot of the Mormon kids have rebellious phases their senior year (At least they did my senior year). Then they went off to BYU or on missions like angels.

I daresay by the 20 year reunion they'll have amnesia and won't remember a thing. Actually I'll probably have amnesia of writing this post, I got a bug too.

Jeez, is the avian flu here already? It's flying everywhere.
