Thanks, Moksha. I just enjoyed a delicious breakfast (not cooked by me and not cleaned up by me either) and I'm eating a See's chocolate while enjoying my bouquet of Roses and wearing a homemade necklace (from my six year old).

It's a nice Mother's day. Happy Mother's day to all!

Sorry Blixa, are you someplace you can't get "See's" or have you given them up?

I can recognize a See's chocolate by the outside--that's how familiar I am with them!

I'm a Dark Chocolate lover and my top favorites are Bourdeaux and California Crunch, though I love just about any of them. Probably my least favorites are the english walnut, mayfairs and the nougats.

Half my box is already gone though, because I shared with my family...I think I'll go hide the rest.:)

I've yet to see them on the east coast. Of course here in NYC I have a bounty of boutique chocolates (including Vincent Gallo's line!)

And yet I yearn for the simple pleasures...You know the Blue Bird café in Logan? Didn't they have a house chocolate line?

Wait...maybe I'm getting them confused with Cummings Chocolates...

Yummmmm..Blue Bird chocolates! Yes, when my grandmother was still alive, we would stop and buy chocolates for her at Blue Bird (and get some for ourselves) on our way to visit her in Preston Idaho.

Cummings are fabulous--my absolute favorite chocolates of all are the Bicardi Rums...they were my other Grandmother's favorite too. I come from a loooong line of Chocolate lovers. Unfortunately, in my extended family we all like the Dark Chocolates so they go first if we ever got an assorted box.

One thing we do right here in the west is Chocolate.:)

What I got my mom, had to special order :)

Then we ate and played with the marshmellow guns they built for a primary activity out of PVC pipe. My father, my former Bishop, and I worked on building an improved model. We came up with a six-foot long cannon that really hurt. Clean up took a while (and no, we didn't make mom do it). She got some movies she wanted and some more frog-themed stuff for her collection.

What a great day. Moms are amazing and mine is the BEST!!!!!
