Maybe I'm missing something, but if you feel that good when your kids are
gone, what was the point of having them in the first place?
I know why you don't understand. You don't have children of your own.
I love being with my kids, but everyone needs a break sometimes. I stay home with them 24/7 and they get bored in the summer, so I have to endlessly entertain them. None of us are happy cooped up together all the time. Six hours away during the day is nice for everyone. I still have my four year old almost all day, and I love the time I get to spend with her while the others are at school. She's learning to read. But we both like the few hours a week she spends at pre-school.
It's a necessary break, Dr. Shades. At least it is for me and my girls.
When school's almost over, we'll be ready for summer again. And I'll enjoy it for eight weeks and pull out my hair the other three or four. :)

PS - I was Mormon when I had them. They were waiting patiently in the Sprit World for their bodies, you know. Looking back, maybe I wouldn't have had so many kids if I weren't Mormon, but I can't very well send them back, can I? And I wouldn't even if I could.
